I'll go first, I just got this. Anything above 100 is good going.

This is my best so far.

I was specifically trying to troll the NPC with Rahjin and aviod gaining any power in the match so I could blow it all on one big Crow at the end. And it was so much fun!

Amazing! Definitely bonus points for doing it in a specific way. I can't work out how you generated 92 in one turn without Druid in play...!

It's been a long time since I kept track of this but I had an old thread that had a victory like this. This one wasn't high points but it was a perfect win. In that, I could have won by either patron or points. On top of that, the NPC had to discard it's entire hand on it's next turn, leaving no possibility it could try and catch up. The NPC also had 0 points.

This was just an NPC match, so it's not a comment on balance of any deck or strategy shown. I don't think a human opponent would ever allow this lol. This is just funny.

Still though....this is the most perfect victory. So I had to share. Haha

@spartaxoxo I think yours was the post that made me think to make this thread - I couldn't find the original.

Seems that Rajhin - not Crow - is the common factor in all of the huge wins so far. Can anyone rack up high totals with different patrons in play...?

Not sure of the scores, but any game where the NPC uses Red Eagle and deletes ALL of their cards is a highlight in my book...

What I don't understand is how in one game I can face an Expert NPC that deletes all cards with Red Eagle and then the very next game I'll face an Expert NPC that uses Almalexia and confines ALL of my cards where I have pretty much no counter. RNG/Card Draws in this game can be quite frustrating at times.

How can you achieve 276 points? This means about 190 points in one single turn - minimum

More like 200 points, since he'd have had to have less than 80 at the start of his turn. I think he answered your question with the video he just posted, and it was actually a good bit more than 200. o_O

That's interesting, on first instinct I'd think you could've gone higher if you'd dropped Hunding for Rajhin as Rajhin's late-game tavern cycling and drawing capacities synergise better with Druid and Lexi power gen than Hunding's "refresh to draw" action.

But I'm going to guess that you cashed in a fair amount of those Hundings as raw power? And only used the deck refresh to optimise the Psijic/Almalexia cycling?

This was a game against the NPC who likely picked Hunding and Delmene on their own since I almost never pick either of those patrons. Also, I didn't utilize any Almalexia cycling. It's possible for Almalexia to make big turns bigger, but that will be hard to setup because you'll want to only be discarding cards that you don't intend to player and drawing cards that you do want to play. Also, though Rajhin does have a few attractive draw cards, there is a limit to what can be done because eventually the Tavern will literally run out of cards. When decks are getting close to that limit of capabilities, the most efficient thing for generating power would probably just be to use the Crow patron.

On the game winning turn, I only utilized 1 Hunding card and that was for the purpose of generating 2 gold with my Stonelore Rockseer. Even if someone was somehow able to play ever single Hunding card in the same turn, they aren't going to be generating 200 power.

My turn could have been a bit bigger if I had played more optimally, but that idea also goes to show that there are some limits when playing against the NPC opponents. Against someone doing what you need them to do, it's possible to hypothetically get infinite score. But the NPC cannot be controlled, so sometimes it may buy a card from the tavern that is needed to make a huge turn possible. If I were to try to improve on my score with the same strategy, then maybe it could take another 50 to 100 games to just get the same setup where the NPC doesn't interfere. I'm guessing that the maximum single turn point gain against a NPC player is probably close to 350 to maybe 400 if literally everything goes perfectly in a Psijic/Druid/Alma/Crow game. And keep in mind, Hunding made my score possible because of the Refresh cards setting up my power turn. So you can get a bigger score without Hunding, but it will be much harder to setup all of the game pieces to come into play in the most optimal way.

I want to flag up a small rule change that has come into effect since u39, and which may be a response to this thread.

The game now ends instantly when you breach the 80 prestige limit, even on an active turn.

In other words, as soon as an action takes you over the 80 prestige limit, your turn - and the match - now ends automatically.

This occurs even if you still have resources left to spend. This massively limits the upper potential of scores that are achievable in ToT.

This is a shame as attempting high scores is a fun way to play the game in an inventive way. And it's hardly likely to encourage PvP griefing, because the numbers players were pulling in this thread are not really possible even against a complete novice human player.

@rbfrgsp , thanks for the update.

Technically, the score possible is still infinite, but that requires cooperation of the opponent and alot of time.

This change make such a turn, which I've been theorizing about for a couple of month, much more time costly.

As per usual, designers like to give players things that the players never asked for and don't want.

As per usual, designers leave players waiting around indefinitely for obvious balance changes and basic features.

Actually, correction, the new method for infinite prestige generation is based on infinite power generation and that conversion doesn't happen until the end of the turn no matter what.

I wonder what kind of fringe cases encouraged this Update 39 change. Only Sorcerer King cards, the Delmene Patron, a few Druid King cards, and an Almalexia agent directly create prestige.

Maybe the Almalexia Agent was problematic somehow or maybe the change was a consequence of some other coding going on.

    Baffling. Oh well.
