The rapport loss triggers as soon as you interact with the outfit station with him active. it's only -1 though, so not much of a loss.

If Sharp is your active Companion, you can also use an outfit station in a player house to avoid the (minor) Rapport loss.

Companions can't spawn in player housing, but if you interact with the Outfit Station you'll still get the option to outfit your companion so you can give them styles or dye their costumes. Since he's not spawned in, he won't give you the Rapport hit, but you still get to dress him up.

Likely something trauma related considering Sharp-As-Night story

He doesn't like pretention, a contrast to how the Telvanni throughout Necrom comment on appearances and clothes.

I do get it that he does see it as superfluous, and that's fine. The minor decrease isn't anything to really worry about either, it is a bit annoying though even if it can be gained back easily.

I do want to give him a different outfit though so that I can set him apart from everyone else's version of him. Now, I know what to expect whenever I do get around to doing it.
