If they are farming for gold sellers then call their bluff. Bring your guild down to farm them. Bots farming for gold sellers are not set up to fight actual players.

It does not make sense for bots to farm in a PvP area because player do not have to wait for Zenimax to eliminate them. If these are bots farming for gold in IC, guilds will start farming them. All the information needed for guilds to know where and when to go is provided in this thread.

This. People selling gold for IRL cash are not going to do IC because of the risk vs reward. They'd just set up bots to farm overland mobs.

In reality, OP is upset because there's a guild that regularly farms IC. That's really all there is to it.

OP, I am curious, what hard evidence do you have and how did you come to have it? You can surely answer this in a way that doesn't violate forum rules.

All it would take is 5 minutes check up on their banking and guild banking activities and voila.İf they are innocent you can permaban me :D

Actually, it's even easier than that.

Why don't you send them a message that you want to buy gold, and then screenshot and post their response here (with names blacked out).

I'll bet you some rare alchemy reagents that they have absolutely no hard evidence.

the report system is so easily and often abused by people who have 0 proof -.- there is little to no chance that bots are in a pvp zone, it makes no sense to farm in a zone you can lose half of it in a split second. you claim they ruin a casual players experience but you are potentially going to get innocent people banned because you 1, have no proof and 2, quite honestly obviously have no idea how the bot thing works.

people who wrongly report should get strikes on their accounts :)

kinda furthers my point that innocent people could get action against their accounts for simply playing the game. ive been reported for killing people in pvp and them throwing their toys out of the pram, cant imagine being reported for farming telvar in down time :#

Agreed. ZOS shouldn't be banning anyone for simply farming Tel Var or killing someone in IC. If however someone has good reason to suspect another player of doing something shady, and farming Tel Var to buy alchemy mats to sell for gold and then for real money is very definitely shady, then the correct thing to do is to report it and provide any proof to ZOS. I've never seen proof that ZOS bans anyone for simply being reported for killing someone in PvP or farming, despite some very insistent protests otherwise. In every case that I've been privy to details it turns out the ban was actually for bad behavior (trolling, griefing, harrassing) or cheating (CE use).

The only exception to this was the recent wave of blanket bans during the Endeavor exploit debacle, but that's a whole different topic.

So they say. Very few cheaters ever admit that they cheated when caught.

Every time we report something to Zenimax it is on our record. That includes anything from a bug report to reporting suspected cheating. However, Zenimax would never punish players for reporting cheating that turned out to not be cheating outside of a very rare occurrence that a player was harassing a player or guild by repeatedly reporting them for cheating.

The reason why Zenimax would not punish players for reporting suspected cheating is because we can only observe and cannot have all the facts. It is upon Zenimax to investigate such claims. If Zenimax makes a mistake in their investigation it is not the fault of the person who reported the suspected action.

Zenimax would not want to put a chilling effect on reporting suspected cheating since it would put a chilling effect on such reports and make it harder to find exploiters and cheaters. That would be bad for the game. So it will not happen.

i just cant help but think that op has a lot of inside info. like maybe they were part of the guild at one point. of course i never much like ic or its sewers so only ever went there for skyshards but nowadays i don't think i need to go there for even that anymore? So it's possible i guess that i never spent enough time there to notice it.

I sure hope not, otherwise all of the players who report those "buy gold and crowns for low, low prices, fast and friendly customer service" accounts are in big trouble. :(

Correct. Zenimax will not have a chilling effect on reporting suspected violations of the TOS. They know we cannot investigate thoroughly which is why they will not put strikes on our account when we get it wrong as was suggested.

Why not enjoying the game? Why are you so mad? I'm just curious you can simply go to CP or cyro why are you so into ruining normal pvp guildies game experience by getting them an unfair ban? do you really want them to get banned? Omg what did they do to you? Maybe they just don't wanna play with you don't worry I can be your friend honestly... wanna play Roblox? Or we can do skyshard runs I really enjoy doing tha.t I'm still level siiix on one of my characters I need friends too buddy but well job here in Canada is consuming most of my time but we can play anytime

i said the same thing earlier in the thread ---- if they were gold sellers there are far easier ways than to farm imperial city.

if they were cornering the market on reagents or hakeijos then they are not very smart because the prices on those are cheaper than ever.

i think the op is salty because they get lumped up every time they go to ic.

What are the typical hours of operation for this business? Any intel on # of employees? lol If I bring a ball or zerg down there we could get a good pay day. Even if we don't wipe them, their farming production will suffer. That's when we may get negotiation whispers, or hate tells that its working. I'm curious to see if I know them lol.

what guild on ps? I would love to make some telvar off of them lmao...Also I, like many others on here, are curious as to what kinds of proof you actually have. Far too often somebody gets killed/farmed etc in pvp areas use reporting as an attempt at retaliation. I also agree with what many other people have pointed out in here, this is not a super efficient way to farm up some gold

People have also reported this behaviour on PCNA - No CP, and another reddit post about PSEU No cp.

Kinda sus, groups having each Nocp on lock down so they can farm it 24/7?

Does sound like something ZoS should look into.

I've been seeing more and more reports about this and harassment from the farmers. Apparently they keep a character near the ladders to see if anyone is entering, then will use a character in another alliance to kill them and chase them away so they can continue farming without any sharing.

The thing is, I haven't seen any screenshots of any of this. It's just stories so far, and ZOS can't respond to just stories. There needs to be screenshots and video proof and even then ZOS might not want to bother because it's PvP and they don't care about PvP.

I've never encountered this whenever I've gone into IC. I go in no-cp though, that might be why. I specifically go in to do the dailies, then pop right back out again.

During the big pvp events I do see groups rushing through the areas, but they're doing what any PVP focused guild would do - take the flag, do objectives, kill anyone who gets in their way. Never seen anybody hanging out by ladders.

They also come, do their thing and leave.

Yeah, I took a look on PCNA - No cp for some evidence, but at the time, it was quiet.

    Definitely needs some proof.
