The intent and purpose of my guide is to show you some of what I think are good builds for the NB class! Below you will find different builds and tactics I found to be useful, both in pve and pvp. Before we begin I have some suggestions:
Have at least 1 skill of every class and weapon on your bar AT ALL TIMES. This will ensure you level all the skills valuabe to you at once.
Play NB however you want to play it, ESO is all about how YOU want to play.
Manage your resources, ideally you want a balance of everything, this increases dmg and weapon ability as well a spell dmg.
Pick your race: Ideally any race works for this class. My recommendation is either a Kahjit or a Bosmer
REMEMBER: This is just some of the builds I use none are standard or necessarily the "best," if there were one. These are just to give you ideas.
Here is my take on a few builds from the NB!
This is the build im currently using and I find most effective.
How this works: Ambush>Suprise Attack>Then from there it is up to you wether its Dual or Bow
Remeber to always start with a good sneak attack!
Personally i went for 5 light and 2 heavy but a combination of medium/light or heavy/medium works just as well. Mediums "Ellude" ability could easily be replace with "Harness Magicka." Depends really on you... For attributes I used 24:10:15
This is an excellent solo class and personally one of my favorites in the game! Highly Recommend It!
Very flexible, and can pump out high DPS
Destruction staff and heavy dmg spells offer both control and amazing single target dmg. You'll be using alot of these affects in group situations.
Advised is light armor for the mana regen which you need.
In pvp this is a wonderful build to have.
+point
Most efficient in group
Solid control and very usefull in pve.
- points
This was an interesting class choice, but the more i played it the more I found myself liking it. It has excellent control allowing you to kill with ease.
Take a light/heavy for maximum effect.
Amazing control, both single and group targets
Very High Dps
Im using the exact same build as your first one for dual wielding. Though with medium armor, is this a bad idea? Im not really sure, causs i will be loosing a lot of armor in light armor.
Also, i was actually hoping for some tests on NB skills ^^ Which class skills are supported by armor reduction, melee (weapon) crit. I know surprise attack benefits from armor reduction.
Hit a mob with surprise attack did x damage, hit again and it did y damage.
Also what kind of enchants on your jewelry do you use? reduced magicka / regen or spell damage maybe?? I tried with 9 spell damage on all 3 jewels and my damage on opener went up by almost 300
Just to nit-pick on a rainy Friday morning.... It's "Rogue" not "rouge"
I play a dual wielding Breton nightblade so I have some racial benefits to the magicka side of things; that said, I only really use the first Siphon ranged attack, the invis cloak and the Veiled Strike. Everything else burns stamina from either Dual Wield attacks or Fighter's Guild crossbow.
I use 5 medium armor and one light and one heavy (just to keep raising those skill lines in case I decide to change later on). I love the medium armor passives --- really make sneaking easier.
Haha thanks by the way, but I have recently been playing around with stuff and am more and more liking medium armor. I think the benefits that kinda deal with the stamina side of things are amazing. I think it adds a little tankablility to the class.
This was awesome I'm currently using the dual wield/bow assassination skill but the rogue looks awesome! very helpful thank you for helping a sista out ma brothaa xD
You're welcome. I'm glad I can help. Hopefully as I continue to learn more about the game I will be able to be an even bigger help and post more information. But as for now, Thanks everyone for your time.
Nice guide Especially thanks for the comment about adding 3 9-damage rings that bolstered your damage output by 300 pts! That's crazy. I wonder how the scaling goes.
I did 31:5:14 and I still constantly run out of mana.
