UI Scaling - Is there an alternate manual fix?

I use a controller with lots of addons on a PC. I have an addon that tracks which characters have learned which recipes and motifs. Not sure if this caused the issue but when I'm in the bank looking at recipes I can't see the entire recipe window. I've got 10 toons and all of their names appear at the bottom of the recipe. Their names are highlighted if they require the recipe. I can't see the last few names because the window is too big.
If I go to the video settings and turn on UI scaling I can shrink the window enough to see all of the names.
The issue is that the UI scaling shuts off and resets each time I log out. It's frustrating to have to exit the bank, change the UI scaling, and then return to the bank to see who needs the recipe.
Is there a chat window command that I can type in to activate UI scaling? If so, I can make a one button macro and fix the issue. Or perhaps a setting file that I can manually edit?

✭✭✭✭✭It doesn't even work for me, I can slide it in either direction and the window doesn't change at all. It used to, not anymore. I think when they brought in Accessibility mode they disabled the UI scale for gamepad mode.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭i dont think ive had a problem with custom UI scaling resetting itself every time i log in
i know with certain addons that track knowledge like this, you can configure them to set specific characters as "learning" so that it will only list the character if its the one your actively learning the recipes on instead of all of your toons (in my case i only bother learning that stuff on my main, and use those addons to track if my main needs it when im on one of my other toons, so i have all of my other characters set as "not learning" so they dont show up in the tooltip)
that is going to vary per addon though on how its configured (i know there are multiple that can be used to track recipes and such)plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
