Thats the current state of how it works though, as long its activated. Only difference with your suggestion is you wouldn't have to activate it. Does seem like this consideration was missed by ZoS though...kyatos_binarini wrote: »How to reproduce:
1. place grim focus on back bar

3. equip oakensoul ring
4. start LA anything
5. WPD/SPD will be increased
Seems a little bit unfair as 1 bar nightblades (and sorcerers with bound armor) have access to additional passive slot on backbar. I think it would be more fair if grim focus would stack charges on both bars and only give wpd/spw on the skill bar.

Wonder if this works while wielding volendrung as well.

In the case of werewolf it provides 400 WD for the stamina version of Grim Focus plus minor protection from heal Cloak, and sorc werewolves would get access to minor protection, minor resolve, 8% Magicka, and 8% max HP off bound aegis or 8% stamina, 8% max HP off bound armaments.
This would be a substantial buff to both classes for werewolf and to be perfectly honest, warranted given the current state of werewolf--though I'd hate to see werewolf get hammered harder than it already has because of it.
Sorry to respond to a 9 month old post here, but I just discovered this today on my sorcerer. Bound Aegis is giving me it's bonuses while on my back bar despite me having Oakensoul. The only caveat is that I have to equip Bound Aegis on my front bar, then replace it every time I get out of a loading screen. (I go with inner light for the additional 5%) I for one would like to see it be a legitimate function, and not patched out simply because of how oakensoul is described. It says "... you are unable to swap between your primary and backup weapon sets..." and as far as I'm concerned, abilities that have passives that work on either bar do not break this rule. Sadly I believe they will patch it out and I'll lose my 5% Magika.
