We will be performing maintenance for patch 11.2.1 on the PTS on Monday at 8:00AM EDT (12:00 UTC).
Where are the mag sorc buffs

Now that sorc damage is nerfed by 8% and few other classes get free bar slots and free damage as well,
Buffs for next PTS iteration
1. Remove wards scaling on health.
2. Major protection on hardened ward and increase ward size by 25%
2. Minor protection and increase ward size by 20% on healing ward and harness magicka.
4. Remove stacking cost on streak and BOL. BOL should absorb all projectiles for 3 seconds
5. Make rune cage instant cc and apply dot damage on cast.
6. Increase damage on Mages wrath by 100% when opponent health is above 25%
7. Increase damage of mines and curse by 20%
All the above buffs are still pale in comparision to nb but this will do for now
Do the needful ZOS and nerf marselook, arms of relequen, way of fire, masters dw and vateshran ice staff

✭✭✭1. The Bound Weapons/Aegis change gives you 8% extra mag/stam, and aegis gives damage mitigation, and only needs to be slotted on one bar. It's more important to be on your front bar with the stam morph since you needa activate it for the damage making only having to slot it once a negligible change unless you run pets since they take up so much bar space, but it not needing to be activated beforehand to proc daggers is still good.
2. Stacking cost of streak is for balance in PVP. Removing that would be bad for PVP I'd wager.
This is a want list for PVP right? I mean sure for the most part the class didn't get much of a buff for PVP. But it did get a nice boost in PVE, albeit not enough when it comes to Stam builds.

You can run the same proc setup on warden / arcanist and do better than stam sorc. There are passives on warden or arcanist which actually amplify it.
Just goes to show how bad sorc is atm2 -

Yup, the idea is to buff the class first and then think about balancing it. Thats typically how ZOS operates on other classes.

Please don't go on about the bound aegis buffs. Might be useful for PVE but not PVP
Should i unslot inner light for aegis and give up crit ? I lose healing from crit surge as well as crit chance.1 -

✭I'm all for sorc buffs, and I like most of your ideas, especially the damage buff to mages wrath and curse. But when streak didn't have an exponential cost, it was chaos. There was no point engaging a sorc. The bound aegis buff could be nice for pvp tbh, assuming you can find room for it on back bar. The passive minor resolve, minor protection and 8% magicka won't exactly go to waste in pvp. It's not much though I admit, especially when held up against the fire staff changes.PC | EU3 -

For PvP it definitely would be better than arcanist or Warden. Warden doesn't have a spammable or reliable stun.
Arcanist you can just move out of the way of the beam. Or get them to use up their Crux and they won't recover if you sustain pressure.1 -

That's true. Sorc healing is the problem. No burst heal. And you don't have major savagery anywhere it their kit, which you need for crit surge healing. It doesn't make sense. Major savagery should be on the crit surge skill itself, and it shouldn't matter which bar it's on.
But as for stam sorc damage, Its not bad. I just wish they would buff curse. I'm going to try the new bound armaments when it comes out, see if it replaces curse.Edited by LittlePinkDot on 19 July 2023 00:282
