Update 39 Nibenay Bay Battlereeve.....

If you really hate getting bombed, this set would at least give you a fighting chance and at most nullify a bomb attempt. It depends.
You can't say ZoS ignored people's rage about all the pull CC bombs with certain sets. Adding more wacky sets does add to the chaos, but whatever it directly speaks to that problem with counter play.

I hate that they do it via a set rather than at least a recourse timer for being pulled multiple times; but here it is. At least something. Would not use it if it didn't also double as a defensive with crit resist and damage reduction, though. It would be too niche to only help after a pull or knockback

It's only really going to save you against small-group bombs. Against a fully fledged ballgroup, that 15k shield is worth nothing compared to the amount of spike damage they can dish out.

That was my thought at first as well. Then a friend said "True, but its 15k on top of the health you already have." so there is a bigger effective health pool and I already don't always die. Its just an annoyance as much as anything

I wish the shield would then explode for it's value within the last 2 seconds of it expiring and scale up based on targets around you. That would be fun

The problem is that real coordinated ball groups are going to be dealing 60k+ spike damage in approximately 2 seconds tops. A measly 15k shield won't help you in that scenario. There's a reason PUGs are still dying to these groups left and right even with a few barriers tossed in.

All this will do is punish solo and small scale bombers hard.

It isn't supposed to make you unkillable, just give you a better chance in most circumstances.

The problem is that good bombers can kill multiple people even without a pull. Sure, it’s not as many people. But the playstyle will still be annoying, and small scale bombing still opens the door for a ball group to come in and wipe everyone left.

There's things you do to avoid that a lot easier. The pulling you from ranges that seem much further than they should and forcing you into a stack of squish that gives bombs potency is the obnoxious part. The helm set gives you an option to mitigate that

Going to be even funnier when the ballgroups run that since every ballgroup is using Rush of Agony atm, it's a really bad way to combat pulls in this game and it's gonna cause alot of problems when it's released for sure.
