Empower is a joke in the current condition of the game.

I have been using heavy attacks with one of the mages guild skills and Empower is a joke. That 70% is more like no percent, oh I`m in Imperial City.

✭afaik empower is deactivated in PVP since the changes to heavy staff attacks were introduced last year.0 -

I think it was 30-40% more light and heavy damage for 3 seconds.
Then it was heavy attack 80%, but to me it seemed like the perk died before I could finish a heavy attack.
Now it's only against monsters, but still seems like it ends before the heavy attack is cast.
Honestly, it's duration needs to be increased so some people (like myself) can actually use it at least once before it ends.
Or maybe turn it into a charges type of thing: # (with a cap) of heavy attacks gain the empowered buff. 1-2 charged per cast of empowered. Kind of like Crystal Weapon but a lot less useful (sorc ability stamina morph).
Crystal weapon adds 2k+ damage to your next light or heavy attack within 3 seconds.
It also seems to end a split second before my heavy attack launches, I feel like they should be 4 seconds instead.
Empower buffs many attacks, but you can hardly cast one, and CW is used on only one attack.
Also, due to their tiny timers, you can only use one at a time because the first one cast ends before you can finish your attack.
Sometimes I feel like I'm venting, does it seem like that to you or does it seem informative, or both?0 -

did you remember the time when heavy attack was one of the variations of pvp gameplay? This feature zos was covered, because of the whiners, and made it exclusively a pve feature, in fact, there was nothing terrible and unbalanced there, just someone didn’t like that with one button after combo casting you can do good damage, play as you want, zos they say... It isn't disabled in PvP, just against players. It should be disabled in PvP, as it'd crack down on the Tri Focus exploit in IC. Better yet, they should rework Empower altogether so that it isn't a useless buff in 85% of scenarios.Edited by CameraBeardThePirate on 9 July 2023 17:044
