Solid B tier for pvp. No where close to being as good as DK.

Indeed.
I believe that MalcolM summarized it best when he said that the class was "exceedingly mediocre."
Arcanist has good survivability but it pays for it with a lack of burst damage. Witness nearly all high-tier Arcanists using the same tired Master's DW x Vate Destro combo. It's the gear not the class.

I have been saying this all along! Every time I see someone say, "Arcanist is going to get nerfed, it's OP" and I'm like, STOP listening to the click-bait Youtubers because if you actually watch most of their build videos, EVERY class to them is "God mode". However, with Arcanist, you have to run very specific gear, and even then, it still does not outperform several other classes. So it really cannot be considered OP in any true sense of the word, even with very specific gear. However, in the hands of an exceptional player who has devoted HOURS to their builds and skill rotation, sure, ANY class could become OP.
However, for the majority of players, Arcanist is not, and never will be, OP.

I think you are missing one key point here. Its gonna be used for support more then anything else and in that category it is absolutely op. The buffs it gives group are insane.

Arcanist is not OP. All buffs already exist and with the changes to crux and how it disappears after 30 seconds if you don’t keep generating means they already got nerfed pretty hard. Arcanist now needs constant action and generation of crux to maximize its abilities but that’s just not the way things go sometimes, groups gotta wait for everyone to be ready which means the tank or healer is gonna lose crux.
Tank, with the right build might be top tier or A tier but healer is C, imo, and damage is C as well (working on a S,A,B,C,D tier scale).
Only difference with Arcanist vs other average/slightly below average classes is that it’s actually pretty fun in PvE regardless. (Until you get to harder content anyway)
