The Servers For This Game Are Trash

Between the server lag, the forced logouts, the "something unexpected happened" errors, it is getting really difficult to justify playing this game anymore. Especially since we pay for this. This is not a F2P game where server issues are expected. This is not acceptable and the players should be given assurance that this is being addressed.

    Welcome to eso.
You might want to try eso-eu.
Youll get more of the things you love, to hate.

I think things have gotten noticeably worse since the servers changed. I have noticed a significant deterioration in the quality of the game. I could enumerate the problems, but the list is really long. I didn't understand if the so-called "old" servers weren't needed for other newer games...

In the last month or so it's been the worst I've ever seen it. My group can't even run vet dungeons some nights because the lag is so bad, that it's impossible to run a rotation and not get destroyed. This is destroying any enjoyment we get from this game and again, makes us ask why we are even playing it if this is going to be the state of it?

I haven't had these forced log offs or disconnects you speak of.
    I'm on PS5 though.
I've always wondered if alot of people have internet provider problems, especially if they live in densely populated areas.

I came back a few months ago after a 3 year break and have at least one DC every session I play, often during a dungeon or trial. Never used to be a problem for me. I'm still on PS4 but doubt a PS5 would make much difference.
    Australian on PS4 NA server.

It's really strange. I have the second worst connection in the entire US - HughesNet satellite (the first worst is WildBlue now known as ViaSat).

I don't have any of the connection problems all y'all do. But of course, the tradeoff is that my ping is 750+. I guess, considering the things said about the server connection, I should be grateful for "non-optimal" (which is what CS at HughesNet tells me as regards online gaming) access to online games - because apparently the stuff y'all deal with is absolutely NOT my experirence.

Yes - there is noticeable lag due to high ping. But I manage to compensate. And I don't at all have the issues you folks do. Hope you get things sorted!

I'm curious, as you play on both servers: Are both server connections stable for you or do you experience differences between eu and us?

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

Im on ps5 too. NA server. Don't have any issues.

Deltia's Gaming has a pc and plays on both eu and na servers and from what I have seen he has none of this problems either.

Both server connects are completely stable for me, and have been so since I started playing 6 years ago. Makes me wonder if sat is actually a better connect than whatever else - yes I have what I consider mega ping, but I do manage to get around it by micromanaging my keyboading of keybound skills (I just "build in" a delay in hitting keys - I've had to do this in MMOs since I first started playing WoW in 2006 - on wildblue.... Ugh....)

You would laugh if you were sitting here watching me in combat..... because the only way to manage on sat is to WAIT for far longer than most of you do - just to hope you actually land a spell....

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it deals with tech.

    Thank you for your understanding

On the contrary, I find it quite awesome to be honest. Takes some skill and lots of training to micromanage a rotation without audiovisual input.

And thanks for the information regarding server stability. It's indeed a bit odd. I get disconnected at least twice a day, although my connection is fine with everything except eso.
