New house "Emissary's Enclave" is pretty excellent

Just, giving credit where credit is due I guess. It's actually reasonably sized, buyable for gold, not a maze, and interestingly styled. On top of that it has palatial ceiling height and *wall ornaments*. I have no idea what I am going to build there (the Necrom style has futuristic scifi vibes which I now wish I had incorporated into my spaceship house... maybe I'll make a space station here, hehe) but I've no doubt I'll do something with this one eventually. It manages to make a style statement without handcuffing the furnisher with too many constraints, or drowning them in too much square footage. Did I mention the walls and ceilings and floors are very pretty.

Really, just happy we got a house like this. My faith is renewed :D

How much is it furnished? I’m on console and it doesn’t show up anywhere online yet, can’t even see it on the ESO website.

8k crowns, wasn't lavish with furniture (balconies for instance were quite bare and the interiors weren't exactly crowded either) but if you're intent on using the Necrom style, could be a reasonable deal. It did include a number of lamps, which was nice because those are one of the highlights of the new style for me personally. (Come to think of it, the lighting was maybe one of the really good things about the place all in all? Wouldn't have to spend a fortune to get it lit well, it came with so many lamps even unfurnished.)

What is unique about this house is that it has a separate exit which leads to the outlaws refuge, and you can use that door from the refuge as well. Feels somehow unexpected for a former "emissary" residence, but as most ambassies do some spying, it adds to the value of the house.

I have one wish for this house - on the balcony overlooking the docks there's no silt strider sightings, can we have them included?

If you're in the city and spend some time at the dock eventually a caravan of silt striders come walking across the water, it's such an amazing sight, and I was hoping when I explored the house that I would be able to see that as a random event, but I've sat on the balcony for a while and I'm guessing it won't happen.

I realize it's probably a technical restraint because the environmental backgrounds are just set dressing, but I wonder if it would be possible.

I'm really glad they brought back achievement houses you can buy with gold as well as crowns, we need more earnable houses in-game. The aesthetic is very on point with the Telvanni Necrom architecture, and it's really well-designed. It's not my cup of tea in terms of style, but I'm looking forward to seeing what decorations other players come up with. Will definitely be buying it though when I get the achievement.

I love it so much. It's a really great place. Fairly priced. Got it partially decorated already.

Funnily enough a friend of mine and me both agree that the house has a 1950's high class hotel to it for some reason XD

Wait I haven't seen an exit to the outlaw's refuge? I have to do some more exploring later!

I almost didn't see it at first either, it blends in quite nicely with the walls being patterned as they are. A classy sort of "hidden in plain sight" kind of secret passage, rather than the "tucked away in the broom closet" type :)

My only problem with the house is that it doesn't have a very good view of the city proper, just the docks. But everything else is amazing. A decently sized balcony, high ceilings, multiple alcoves for decorations.

The exit to the Outlaws Refuge is a massive bonus. By far, this feels like the most effort they've put into designing a house in a long time.
