I play on PC, even have a mouse with 12 buttons on it, but absolutely love the 5 skills and a ultimate on each bar.
My fingers don't have to dance across an entire keyboard, I can map the extra buttons on my mouse to auto run, mounting, bar swapping, potions, etc, and I have to think about what abilities and weapons I want.
Removing bar swapping is a bad idea in my opinion, and if I wanted to have a million abilities able to be used at any time I would play an MMO that has such a system. I personally hated Star Trek Online's combat system where I had about 4 lines of 10 powers, and I spent more time looking at my ability tray than actually playing the game.

Oakensoul removes 6 skills from the rotation.
The number of abilities isn't what sucks, it's having to switch between bars that's clunky. Throw me 40 skills at once, I wouldn't care, but switching bars feels pretty bad, personally, I always felt like it's interrupting the flow of my rotation rather than being a part of it.
