XP for mobs?

Why am I killing mobs in Deshan for 5xp? I kill one mob for 100xp and a couple near it each give me 5xp? What is happening here?

    I have to ask this same question.

    Why do I get 150 XP for Mob A then cross a river and kill his sibling and get 3 XP?

    i get no XP when in party...even if we are the same lvl lol.
