Hmm I saw it the other way around, 8000 crowns for 25 crates is about right price wise compared to a 15 crate pack, you save 330 Crowns difference and get an ugly polymorph to go along with it with no RNG tied to that portion. Other polymorphs that are purchasable with Crowns (thus cannot be purchased with Seals of Endeavors anyway) range from 1000 to 2000 Crowns. Even at the lowest 1000 crowns, you're getting an extra 10 crates for 2000 crowns which is a little under 40% discount per crate to crowns ratio?

I thought it was a good deal I don’t see the problem 25 crate bundle and a guaranteed polymorph that’s awesome by the way reminds me of that horror film THE RING…..

Just think it’s the usual case of trying to find the negative out of a positive.

The prices on the shop are not generated by a market. It was high likely designed to exploit cognitive biases, like anchoring. If you have full control over pricing, everything can be arbitrarily made more or less valuable in the eyes of customers.
If you like the visuals, just buy the assets (or the chance to get them). But please don't try to convince others that this is a "good deal", as no one out of the company knows how a good deal for those assets would actually look like.

Most people also seem to overestimate the time and effort it takes to create digital assets like that.

I thought it was a good deal me personally what the are you on about.

There are only 3 cool mounts in this game you can earn by achieving a trifecta.

Everything else is locked behind Crown crates sold at absolutely ridiculous prices.
Imagine the amount of money they earn with this bundle. I mean I bet like 70% of all eso players bought this because of the Polymorph including me, all my friends etc.

Millions! They make millions with this alone and then look at this bug festival of a game... We still can't block reliably after 1 year. Every single employee should have a whirl pool made of gold by now unless the greedy ones keep everything for themselves. Now add the other things they sell, millions $$$$$.

A limited timed offer really cool Polymorph locked behind a bundle of 8k crowns. You feel the pressure to buy yet?

No sorry but even EA didn't go this far. Just crazy how they can get away with this nowadays.

As far as i can tell, the points made were about the exploitation of gambling addiction, not seeking forum advice. Not sure why that would qualify as trolling and who the troll is here.

By writing "Just think it’s the usual case of trying to find the negative out of a positive" you tried to let it look like as if the critics just want to devalue something nice. That sentence stands in context of the rest of your post and you made a bold assumption about critics, trying to devalue the criticism without any argument.
Ergo your post was not just about your own consumer behaviour.
I wrote why the topic is more complex than just "trying to find the negative".
    That's what i'm "on about".

Do you mean to say that 70% of all active ESO players bought the bundle, or that of those who bought the bundle 70% did so because of the polymorph?

I find it quite hideous. Then again, none of the things in this crate season made me feel tempted to part with crowns or seals.

I wouldn't use the poly if it was free. And I don't buy crates so....

It was exaggerated but I think tons of people bought that because of the polymorph and if it was separated not many would buy the crate bundle plus they make 1 or 2 millions with this bundle world wide if not more using basic psychological manipulation like time limited exclusive rng based offers.

You can’t blame the devs for people’s self control issues. No offense.

You can blame them for trying to take advantage of it.

They aren't taking advantage any more than any business advertising their product is. Their objective is to sell their product. The consumers responsibility is to not spend more than they can afford.

Over last 2 years I've watched with sadness how Seals of Endeavors destroyed rarity of every Radiant Apex (and almost every Gem-exclusive) mount I own... They also destroyed my wish to pursue new mounts - I've only bought 2 mounts over these years, one with gems and other with Endeavors :'( For a person who is annoyed without a new mount skin every ~2 months, it's really depressing. Luckily, I have my GW2 fix for that.

Soon Ayleid crates return as well...
So I really like this polymorph offer for now. Very shady <3

    SW63S5B.jpg

If this polymorph will end up in Endeavors store someday... Well, I had to spend much more than 8000 crowns to drop all those mounts :( In that case, I just will not purchase another offer like this ever.

I could understand you being put off by a mount that you actually earned via a difficult in game achievement like the Godslayer mount losing its prestige and rarity via crown store shenanigans; however with the aforementioned radiant apex mounts you didn't earn those mounts, you just got lucky with RNG while whaling crates for ZoS so I cannot understand how you can be upset by a perceived lack of rarity when you did nothing but open your wallet to "earn" those radiant apex mounts. This is a bizarre sentiment when it's super rare for anyone to be able to afford those mounts via endeavors with the paltry amount of endeavors that one can earn each day when the crown season inevitably ends before anyone can earn enough endeavors to buy the mount they want. I suspect you are using hyperbole to illustrate a point that I'm just not seeing.

This is an older meme but the point stands:

I am curious, but my estimate is the reverse of that, then half. At most 15% of current active players have, or will, purchase it.
