Forum Search causing thread necro.

Why does the search function not weigh search results vs date? ZOS doesn't like people to necro threads, but the search function causes many of them.
I'm searching for phrases on gear and its returning results from 2015 that haven't been relevant since 2016.

trying to google things such as builds, bugs, etc does this as well, constantly bringing up threads from 2016 or older.

The search function doesn't cause thread necros; people posting in those threads cause it.

Thanks for that post, I had no clue it was there because it doesn't automatically come up, which it SHOULD. Instead, if you just type something in the search bar, it brings up years worth of data. Who would think you have to click a down arrow to get some filters?!? NOT ME, and clearly not others. The filters should automatically come up when the search results are posted, I think this would help a lot of people and resolve all the necro posts being made as people clearly don't look at the dates on the post and simply go with the first few search results. @ZOS_Kevin can this be looked into?!?

P.S. I DID know about the filters for Google, but not for the ESO Forums. :)

Yes and for fun set one year off and 1/1/14 for some serious necro
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yeah.. it's admittedly not very intuitive, and it's a little weird you've got to do a search within a search just to get to it.
