The class, yes. Not sure about how my high ping will work with the crux system - if it's something time managed like bar swapping, it's not going to work well for me (thank the Divines for Oakensoul....)
My brown wizard from LOTR by mechanics is very similar to arcanist, so i may even create an alt (and delete later). I just dont understand what makes arcanist better. My brown wizard class was hugely unpopular.
I'm pondering about how they can possibly balance a system that is open and usable for beginners but also allows for advanced use .. like a lot of the media-speak we hear in reveals it would seem that it's impossible to do both, and often what ZOS "says" will occur does not play out in practise!
I'm still looking forward to the new class and will play it like the others in varying roles (though I would like the option to get 3 in total on top of my other 18 characters unlike the 2 slots that have been annouced .. which includes 3 of each existing class), and like others I think we likely just have to await it's reveal on the PTS to actually make any judgement.
Don't really care? If I'd get chapter eventually I'd obviously would participate working around this mechanic however it will be implemented, though I've already played assassin in d2:lod to know how those generally work and having sense of it. Same was for "working" with corpses as necro, counting la's on NB or daggers or sorc etc., it's not really anything new despite presentation.
We'll see. The explanation so far looks like Molten Whip, some abilities generate it while other abilities spend it for increased potency. That might also mean you get pigeon holed into using it for performance if no other abilities than your class skills will utilize this function. What if I only like the generators and no way to spend it, what if I hate the generators and only want the spenders then it does nothing.
It's not comparable to a combo-point generating class in other games because all your skills are built around generating and spending points, it's not elective. Arcanists its a choice, but you only have 10 slots total and would have to choose carefully what do you want to spam to generate crux and which finishers to spend it; selecting outside abilities you like that don't generate or spend becomes the balancing act.
