Dk's need a fat nerf!

I know the topic of this DK class has been a sensitive one for years, and most seem to go with "Im not saying nerf them so lets bring others up..."

No. 5 other classes do not need to be godmode in pvp for there to be balance. I dont care if the DK brigade gets offended at this, if you cant see how unbalanced this class is then youre in denial.

Just look at the % of players using DK in cyrodil atm - Its gotten to the point where we are getting excited at non DKs to fight in PSN chat now. Guild mates who are not DK mains can just jump on a DK with basically any set up and perform better then their main class of years (me included)

Corrosive is its own issue, and how this hasnt been adjusted after all this time is just mental. A 10s godmode ultimate that basically means this class doesnt need to build pen of even damage is just a massive imbalance.
Most classes improved sustain since the hybrid changes, but DK benefits much more than others, as the battle roar passive is just another thing that way outperforms anything else other classes have. "just run away for 10s" shut up.

In most fights, whether it be friendly or enemy alliances, a single Dk can shrug off 5-6 people very easily by just constantly resetting their hp with that busted coag blood and corrosive, whilst still getting enough pressure through dots and corrosive to land kills.

Literally, the only effective way ive found to kill a single DK is to have 5-6 people coordinate ults. A group of 5-6 DK's? A zerg is needed. Otherwise you pretty much need them to stand in a meatbag AOE to stand a chance of out damaging the ridiculous amount of healing.

On top of this, they are getting buffed next patch with that stupid chains buff that literally never needed to be a thing.

Idk what ZOS dev is maining DK atm but pvp has gotten next level BORING since this DK meta has basically made every fight the same.

    I want to add to this, that since the warden / ice staff buff and pvp was full of those - props to ZOS for listening and making changes. The next patch looks balanced for wardens, not overly nerfed and not OP either.

    We just need the same for DKs please. Its the same situation of everyone playing one class

    DK's In Mara's is why are seeing so many DK's .... I would much rather fight DK's then a group of Refreshing path Nightblades. You put DKs back in Pariah and just some other random set they become much better balanced. Mara's allow for the DK to purge every 15 secs which no allows them to go on the offense much more... Resource management has been a DK bane however with this one set DK do not have to use the expensive magicka heal nowhere near as much!

    DK's benifit from the tank meta and thats is what your in atm... Its the worst I have ever seen IMO ... PVP is sooo bad everyone is a tank.

    However I think an overall healing nerf needs to occur. In the old days it was so much harder to reset your Hit points. If you got them below 50% they were on the ropes! However today you can reset hitpoints as many as 4 times within 10 secs....

    It's not a tank meta it's a healing meta. Thus giving the illusion people are tankie. Healing needs to be addressed. Hots need to not stack and cross healing just needs a big ol phat nerf

    100% agree, dk is ezmode now and we are seeing way too many ppl playing dk as main on nocp eu. Their healing power is best, their tankiness is best, their burst is best and their pressure is best, the only thing they werent best at was mobility, wich is now fixed for a long time due to swift traits and race against time. This class needs a serious nerf.

    What class can hold block and eat executes at 8% health then turn it around on you in a second? DKs. No other class can do that as consistently as they do it. It's absurd.

    What class has distinctly PVP friendly passives? DKs. How come they get bonus range on melee skills and a passively applied snare on their class skills?

    What class can force you to lag while their ultimate connects, their ultimate that is a gap closer and AOE damage nuke with delayed impact and cc for follow up? DKs. Dawnbreaker doesn't have half the aoe, and no ult does as much base damage. Not even the single target ultimates that should be stronger for a single target.

    What class gets to dump stat penetration for ultimate regeneration? DKs. If you're not using leap, you're using the nano machines (corrosive armor) and making people mad. Oh and they get to be near invincible too while that move is up. Tbh, it's not as bad as leap though. At least you can try to kite when you notice it's up.

    What class has relatively poor mobility right now? DKs. Enjoy it while it lasts. That is their only weakness right now. Soon they will be encouraged to use their class gap closer which already gives major expedition, a snare and a whip stack but will also give Major berserk.

    yes of course let's carry on with the 'Nerf DK' trend but let's make sure that high health wardens rampage freely....no problem!

    It's the tank meta that needs fixing: leave DKs alone

    The tank meta needs fixing, yes, but I think that's a separate issue from DKs being overpowered.

    The best DKs I see really aren't that tanky at all. Not that I know what they're all wearing, but when I hit them the numbers are comparable to everything else I hit that doesn't go squish.

    It's a healing problem mostly I think. And a sustain problem. They just never stop. They neva eva stop!

    That's why I just alliance changed my 7 years old DK mule. Because every class I have ever rolled in ESO since 2014 has always been nerfed to the ground. It's long long overdue I roll a DK. This time I won't even apologize for it like I did when I rolled a Sorc after the Templar funerals. Next class I roll will be NB. Just a heads up. :D

    I think they need to cap the HOT Stacking... saw a screenshot form a keep fight where the player had 13 Hots on him. that is way to much and he was nearly unkillable just from the HOT's.

    Cross-Heal another Problem. They it worked over the testing period was great it just worked wiht your grp.

    i only see cc as problematic, fossilize together with a poison, forces you to waste 50% of your complete actions with breaking free, because otherwise you die in cc. furthermore the cc is extremely bugged and i often need twice as long to break free than it should take.

    depends on performance i had to break free twice or more. IMO this is game breaking in PvP because you waste so much resources on this.

    There will be a bit of a nerf to some that hold block or mist between corrosive with the change of mist form, and the fix to helping hands with ash cloud; but I'm not sure new mist doesn't just help them kite more in between. I'm actually more concerned with that playstyle with corrosive as it allows them to bypass penetration, which is the one offensive stat that does not also boost healing; and the mist/Perma block allowed to forgo mitigation for more raw power and healing.

    Leap is the easiest ultimate to just block, assuming game timing matches up; which is not often at prime time but that's not a DK problem

    Definitely is an issue with break free times with Petrify. Has been for years and people didn't really care until they started eating unmitigated, full stack, whip procs. Also a general game issue

    I actually gravitated to playing my NB more than my DK. It's harder to do right, but if you do; it's stronger than DK at some point. But DK is much easier to hit a passable level of play. Corrosive is part. So is that perma-block. But then there is Battle Roar which is supposed to be their sustain tool along with combustion; but I don't think it should also be a 10k heal min going into corrosive at the same time. Add that to Maras and there's just too much passive healing. Not sure what the point is on people bringing up overall healing as that would still leave DK with more.

    But whatever with all of it. Balance in this game is a joke and it's only wild swings. Bound to go too far eventually. It will just be something else next

    Agree with OP, they've been overpowered for ages. Yes the cross healing and tank meta is exacerbating the issue but either way there's an issue, tank meta or not. DKs have too much in their toolkit and it's just really poor balancing.

    The flame damage is a huge part of it as well, because Vampire is meta, and the DKs get free damage against this with basically all of their skills. 12 to 20% extra damage against a huge portion of the player base, it's like they have a third set of Deadly on for free, just for being a DK. Insane.

    Then as you said, ulti regen stacking with Corrosive and something like Mechanical Acuity is absolutely savage. They don't have to run two damage sets like a Templar etc to have any burst, they don't have to run light armour so they're already in a tankier position than their rivals, hell, even running swift is less of a sacrifice than it is on other classes.

    Huge heals, additional flame damage, tanky thanks to no pen requirements, amazing resource regen from ulti passive, great skills like Fossilize, amazing dots, even burst ability with Whip. Just absolutely unparalleled and frankly, hugely unfair.

    heavy armor makes you take more dmg from magic based attacks which are: magic dmg, shock dmg, fire dmg, and frost dmg
