Dual ultimate

Is the rend dual ultimate worth it because I was planning to go for a poison set for nightblade and bleed set for warden.
So for warden I'm planing persisted host set and pillar nirm set or bloodrinker for full bleed and rest are bleed skills.
But the problem is rend worth it or keep the build for bleed.
Also does poison set applies to dk poison passive?

No, because it's not an attack (direct skill or weapon hit).Also does poison set applies to dk poison passive?
Edit: actually, damage over time counts too, as long as it comes from an ability.
