Hey everyone, I recently leveled a woodelf stamina Nightblade for my PvP group and am having some trouble dealing with unavoidable damage. AoE isn’t too bad running 7 medium and major evasion, but where I am really struggling is channel attacks such as radiant destruction or lightning staff heavy attack (this one in particular).

Given you can’t bash a lightning HA (or at least I haven’t managed to) what do you recommend to deal with these things?

Thanks in advance,

Do you run any sturdy pieces or is the reduction from medium armor enough in your opinion? I am currently planning to run 7 divines but had considered well fitted before this issue appeared.

Depends on how much you honestly want to tank up damage. If you're playing a more classic NB archetype I wouldn't invest in sturdy... Just block the beams you're talking about but not much else. Use your usual methods for the rest.

Well fitted if you're a roller divines if you're a ganker.

5+impen and vamp 3. Impen will have a very noticeable effect on reducing the crit ticks and any other critical damage for that matter, it really is the only trait that should be considered unless you actually are superman. Vamp 3 will give you that clutch mitigation that may let you survive a whole extra second under a beam.

Sated frenzy is one thing I've found unusually helpful against beam bots. If you can keep it up for long durations, you can toggle it off when you're getting beamed for a huge off-gcd burst heal. If it turns itself off before you die, which is likely against channeled attacks then it will save your life.

    - Shadow Cloak is a good counter
    - Block + burst heal to get out of execute range, then Shadow Cloak
