Emperor bonuses, vampires and small population campaigns

An emperor with absolutely no backup wiped our entire army without even being seriously injured, while fighting our npcs. 10-15 people is what our side has when we start a raid, but now that one guy on another team can wipe our entire army, why should I continue to play this campaign?

Emperor powers need to scale with population size...this is stupid and really depressing because of how well done the rest of the pvp is. I had a fantastic time for hours, even though we were usually losing. But we were losing to an opposing TEAM...and then the emperor showed up with buffs meant to give his team an advantage in 100v100 battles and simply aoed us all to death, and that is unacceptable.

Let me make this clear one more time...I am talking about the entire population of one team wiped by one guy with no backup.

At least allow us to transfer off broken campaigns like this for free if you insist this isn't somehow the most OP thing I have ever encountered in many years of gaming.

You did such a fantastic job with the rest of pvp...don't let this ruin it for people who are stuck on low population campaigns.

lol Bramir , if you're going to come to the Forums (which barely anyone uses btw) and QQ more, at least be accurate with your propaganda.

First, 'we' didn't have an "army" . We had 15 players, all ranging in levels & gear & knowledge of pvp & skills , etc. etc.

Secondly, contrary to whining opinions, Murder Thumbs (the current Emperor in Valendrung campaign) is not and has not been able to "wipe out" cohesive & experienced larger groups. Period.

I've been in 2 separate groups, FULL groups w/ guilds who know eachother & fight together, who have beaten/killed him...TWICE. And once it was fairly easy to de-throne him.

But a 15 man 'pug' group who rushes in without any tactics? Of course he will (and should imo) be able to dominate, since he is after all: The Emperor...with all buffs.

Basically, it's like this: In ESO, just like in rl , there will always be "hardcore" type people who seem to be 'overpowered'. So, you can either whine about it and quit when things look bleak, or you can embrace the *challenge* and figure out their weaknesses and then recruit people to help exploit them.

And remember: its a GAME. No one is "stuck" anywhere in any campaign. 'Guest' campaign works just as well and is just as fun.

Not to mention that fact that it's meant to be a lonnngggg War (90 days in fact) . One faction's "overpowered" Emperor on one day can become that same faction's FORMER Emperor w/ cool armor another day.

The choice is yours though. The choice is up to each faction to decide how they want to represent their 'shield' .

Either way, best of luck to you and i'll see you on the battlefield.

    Take care. /bow, Nee

its the Vampire abilities and emperor buffs together that makes it OP get some ultimate reduction and BAM spammable aoe heald dmg with 0-4 ultimate cost...

    not the emperor itself....

my 30 man + group got wiped single handedly by one of these 4500 HP emperor Vamps......

    ......

Exactly! Forgot to mention that little tidbit in my post above.

Maybe that's a combo the ESO Devs never anticipated, i dunno.

MAYBE that particular combo should be 'diminished' slightly. Maybe.

But for me, i relish the challenge.

    To Each Their Own though.

Like the emperor was using superior tactics or something and deserved to win that fight. So, if our entire team...not just our squad but literally everyone willing to try sieging for our team is needed to coordinate their tactics to take down one guy, what happens when that one guy shows up with a few friends?

Stop defending something you know is broken.

I'm glad to see I do have the option to play as a guest elsewhere, which is great, and I'm about to go take advantage. But that situation (Voldendrung) is totally broken and needs to be corrected by the kind people at Elder Scrolls, and not by some fake-heroism on my or anyone elses part. I don't care if I got the details of the problem exactly right...I'm just pissed that a glaring problem means I have to play as a guest so that I can transfer sooner.

It's not the Emperor bonuses that are broken. Vampires are the broken one right now.

Works for me. Sucks for those of us stuck with this campaign though...

Only if you allow it to.

You're only "stuck" in your own mind and lack of vision.

The map of Cyrodiil is HUGE and that 1 player (Murder Thumbs) can only be in one place at a time; no matter how 'overpowered' Vampirism combo *currently* is. You are free to roam & quest & attack wherever you choose.

And here's another little tip for you, just to maybe quell some of your QQ'ing:

Vampires, even bug'd ones in ESO, are vulnerable to........you guessed it: FIRE!

Darn, if only the ESO devs had granted us certain FIRE-type weapons...

What does vampires being vulnerable to fire (assuming they haven't compensated for that in some way) have to do with their aoe slaughtering an entire team in a matter of seconds because of synergy with emperor buffs? Chances are, this player is a dark elf anyway since anyone planning to make an uber vampire would choose that race...

I am perfectly aware that one person can't be everywhere, but considering it takes a small squad several minutes just to kill the NPCs at a resource and 30 minutes + to take a keep, he doesn't exactly need to be everywhere at once...

I guess this happened on EU-Auriel's Bow? If so the vampire was Pryda, an VR10 vampire sorcerer who was emperor for serveral times now. Yesterday i watched him single-handedly wipe out a zerg of around 30 players. Of cause they played not very smart, because they used not enough aoe damage abilities, but the vampire ultimate in combination with Critical Surge, Immovable and emperor buffs made him virtually immortal. They needed more than 10 minutes to kill him, while he earned tens of thousands of pvp points killing them over and over angain.

I don't ask for Zenimax nerfing it into the ground, but a little balancing would be nice. In my opinion the greatest problem in PvP atm is that VR10s are way too strong for players which haven't reached VR yet. I fear that many players will become so frustrated with that, they will leave the game because of it before theyself can reach higher VR.

Pryda and his band of VR10s with lots of vampires have changed the balance on EU-Auriel's Bow so drastically that many Aldmeri players have transferred to another campaign, rerolled in another faction or even quit the game.

Zenimax isn't helping either the players nor themselves if they leave this problem untouched.

Subscription cancelled due to the following facts:

    - Zenimax implements more bugs from patch to patch
    - Zenimax does not care about the increasing instability of the game. People have more and more crashes Fix of memory bug decreased number of crashes considerably
    - Zenimax has still not fully fixed the fps drops they (!) implemented with patch1.2.3
    - Zenimax does nothing to fix the massive ability lags in PvP
    - Zenimax gives more attention to unnecassary 'content' like dyes for armors than fixing issues
    - In patchnotes Zenimax lies about bugs allegedly fixed
    - Zenimax has no plan as to how balance population in Cyrodiil campaigns
    - Support is ineffective and does not even speak in a way one can linguistically understand

I'd just like to point out that Murder Thumbs was a vampire for one day and never used it in PVP. He wiped your 15 man group (and much larger groups) using DK only abilities while emperor. What he used to wipe your group is quite easy to counter and thus only works on pugs who are new to PVP.

As NeeScrolls pointed out, don't come here to complain about imbalance, figure out what he is doing and counter it. It's not too difficult and that's what Zenimax wants you to do.
