Ashlander names

How did Ashlander names develop? They are quite different from the Great House dunmer names, which seem more like the Velothi names of which I am aware. Has there ever been information on this? I thought that it mist ways, they carried on older cultural traditions while the Great Houses followed the Tribunal and were also influenced by other cultures.

Thank you for the link! It continues to puzzle me why how their naming conventions (presumably based on a separate language) came to be. My understanding is that in many ways, the Ashlanders follow the older Dunmer ways but it seems that linguistically, the House Dunmer words and names are more similar to those of other Mer, and thus presumably closer to older Aldmeris. Could the Ashlanders be unknowingly preserving language terms from another culture?

I think of the Ashlanders as the keepers of the oldways and so they follow or keep records of their ancestry - how they were when leaving Summerset and before becoming Dunmer - when they were known as the Chimer.

Edit:

.my thoughts of them came from an ESO video of Ashlanders so not sure if this is written in the lore. - though another thought is the language of the Chimer might also have Daedra dialect since they revered three of these ones.
