Yeah, it is rough playing without it. Too many players are extremely tanky under 20% health and without it in it's current form, you just cannot secure kills before they are at full health again. It's frustrating. But every time I try to make do without it on my bar it's just annoyingly subpar.

TBH, every class needs the full "treatment" to bring every skill and passive up to the level of NB skills.

Taking NB as a baseline, most classes' kit falls far behind.

For example, compare Necro spammable Skulls - every third cast buffs damage of the skill 20% versus passive 15% movement speed, 5s of 10% damage increase to ALL damage, or 100% crit chance. They don't even remotely compare.

And no, Wrath is not "probably the best ranged execute in the game'. That falls to Jesus Beam.

I was in a disgusting open field 1v3 a few months ago. The 3 players I was trying to survive against were just spamming lightning heavies, with proc sets, and then all 3 were hitting radiant when my health hit below 50%.

Try doing that with 3 sorcs and 1 dodge roll negates all three executes.

People have this inaccurate perception that it is "OP" because it's so frequently the "killing blow", and always on people's death recaps. But in reality, no, if you die "to" Mage's Wrath/Endless Fury you were, in fact, already dead and just didn't know it yet. The Sorc only just "stole" the kill because of the way the game calculates effects.

I would be 1000% in favor just deleting the Endless Fury morph and making it a straight up clone of Templar's Beam with a lightning-colored palette swap.

Whirling Blades? Jeez, even Poison Injection has more damage per cast scaling 30% earlier than Mages Fury.

Mages Fury in its current form is a relict from a bygone era, where Sorcerer had significant more damage, that was concentrated up front, balancing out the weak execute phase.
However the comparative damage advantage up front has effectively been lost over various patches. Only the weak execute has remained, because everybody is used to it by now.

A simple fix for mages fury, make it proc its bonus damage if the target is at/below 35% health instead of the laughably low 20%.

This does 2 things
1. It allows for the sorc execute phase to apply pressure earlier (which reflects how strong other class's defense has gotten in comparison to how little has changed for sorcs offensive prowess).
2. It also allows for more counter play because when it triggers you're less likely to be in that "already dead" percentage range meaning it will be similar to other executes, in ramping up the pressure the lower you get, but won't be that kill stealing (sorry, kill securing) ability that makes it seem OP to players who don't know what they are doing.

It will also allow sorc to retain it's unique way of executing enemies, something desperately needed for a class that just lost its last remaining class identity with the new mist form changes giving everyone a better version of ball of lightning/viable alternative to streak.
