[PLEA] Yet Another AH thread

recsa1b16_ESO
Im sure this has been said a thousand times, but after reading the "whats ahead" dev post and seeing no AH mention and that ... "public guild stores" thing i felt like saying it once more time.

Please ZOS, reconsider it, you have the BEST crafting system ive seen in years in an MMO but at the same time you made the WORST economy system, imho this game would benefit soooo much from having a cross faction server wide AH ...

For me, this is the number one improvement this game needs.
  • Jade_Knightblazerb14_ESO
No thanks, I honestly enjoy all the interaction trading is in this game. I have seen many new faces (Even more then I normally do in other MMOs with AH's).

As a trader, I am having a blast and making money ^_-

Nah, not needed. Please stop spamming by creating redundant threads.
Side effects of reading messages on forums can cause nausea, head aches, spontaneous fits of rage, urination due to intense laughter, and sometimes the death of your monitor or other object in throwing range. OP is exactly right. Guild stores are fail. Public guild stores also will be fail. This game needs a centralized, searchable market to ensure smooth transactions and rapid purchases and sales.

    Auction House needed, and badly.

I'd rather they make Guild Stores that actually facilitate trading than spend their resources on doing things the "right way" and wrecking the game's economy in the process. I'm sure some people love the idea of looking up "Vet 5 Armor: Head" and having their pick of every style, trait, and enchant....but that's actually horrible. It removes nearly all incentive to DO the crafting in this game. As long as there's no Mega-AH, crafting is a valuable and rewarding skill. Dumping every item into one big store devalues the game's difficult but currently rewarding crafting system.

Guild Store functionality is laughably bad - even without the bugs that plague it - but it can be fixed. Until it is improved, /z is the best method for selling things. But that's no reason to jump to the conclusion of "we NEED AH."

yes. I'd love an AH. i could sell far more things that other players want, and i'd be able to buy items players at present won't bother trying to sell. I's also be sure i'm getting the best value when buying and able to price items suitable to real demand.

Its really common sense, mmos have progressed to realise AH work and that is the progress of in game trade in the genre. The present system is damaging to the game, but crippling standard economy expectations.

There is no need for another thread, just keep the poll thread active where 60% of the respondents want an AH. That is decisive.

I don't want online shopping (server-wide AH) in my ESO. Trade channels where crafters can find buyers and buyers can find crafters, maybe. But not an AH.

whats ahead ? Trust me turn tail and run, skeever.

gift an NPC beggar 20 gold in daggerfall before you know it you are banned from giving a redgaurd NPC beggar gold in an empty desert.

perhaps it was the spam of please give me 1g that made them do it.
rather than the kindness of killing.

I do not want an AH. I do not want to speak to people. I do not want to be engineered. I do not want to grow old. I do not want f2p, buy to win, pay for breasts. I think I have an idea for a new f2p game for insecure women who can't afford real world insecurity costs. I do not want to be hated or loved, forgiven or forgotten.

    U know who I want ?

I woke up this morning thinking, NO GOD NO.

then I came to consciousness and realised still almost aetheist, 7, 9 and 5 gods forgiven.

Imagine a tower block where you have to forgive 1 to 333.

Right, because the players that don't buy it when you spam zone chat are sure to buy everything when your item is sitting next to 10k identical items on an AH.
Catches-the-Sun - Argonian Templar - Master Smith, Provisioner, Chemist & Tailor
Valaren Arobone - Dunmer Flamewalker - Master Woodworker, Provisioner, Assassin
Kazahad - Khajiiti Arcane Archer - Master Thief
    V'orkten - Redguard Swordmaster
Finnvardr the Frenzied - Werewolf Berzerker

I don't spam anything i want sell in zone chat, have zone chat turned off due to trade spam gold seller spam.

If AH shows that demand is simply priced down to vendor resale then i know to vendor it, far better than posting on a tiny store for a month or two before noting its never selling.

Now if i want gear with rare trait to research a few stores stock of gear likely (and currently) won't cut it, where as an AH will sort that kind of thing very easily, further more the value of rarer traits on pieces will be noted. its certainly been the case for like items in AH in former mmos.

Nope, not gonna be an AH. Contextually ES is set in the Dark Ages -- starvation, plague, famine, bartering -- and all that entails. Don't need an economy. And ES shall remain the preeminent niche game of all time. Free to play, of course, with a tiny but highly dedicated player base. Nope, we don't need no stinkin auction house.
