Can we get open world PVP servers?

God these forums are bad, there isn't a right category to post anything...

I just want the ability to see the other factions and fight them in the open world while doing PVE. This is what is fun to me and what PVP is all about and what I play MMOs for... the world!

I'm just not going to come back when my sub runs out because I feel too restricted and the world doesn't feel like one, I don't see the point of having factions if you cannot see them or fight them.

Go play in Cyrodiil. I don't understand the complaint because literally that's what Cyrodiil is.

Cause I want it while I'm levelling up, I want to see the other factions and fight against them and take over towns so they cannot get quests until they kill us. This is what MMOs used to offer on PVP servers, even WoW offered it...

Cyrodiil is just a glorified battleground that never ends and has no impact on anything.

ZoS would have to fire up a new server cluster and they are having hard enough time getting the EU server moved to the EU, then to take on a new task. Plus the PvE zones are designed for non-PvP combat. This would lead to too much work for the developers to deal with, when they already have enough on their plate.

I would truly love to have a PvP only server for all zones, but I have accepted this will never happen. I'd have to ether move to another MMO like DarkFall, or take ESO for what it is... a PvE game first, PvP second.

i have been asking for an open world pvp eso since early 2012.
i would pay extra to play on an open world pvp server.
i grew up on pvp and it does not mean im hardcore it just means that it is a way of life for me on any mmo. when i go to the pve side i feel very uncomfortable. when i hit level 10 i went to cryodiil and have been there ever since. im almost lv 49 now so i know i will be forced to go to pve side and im not looking forward to it. i know i will be forced there because i have to finish the quests there to get veteran rank 1 - 5 and vet 5 -10 .
i am very comfortable in cryodiil on a daily basis and wish i could stay there perminantly. but, it would be heaven if i could play eso on an open world pvp server because this way it would be pvp where ever i went in eso.

I'm just gonna uninstall, this should have been a sandbox like Elder Scrolls games have always been, instead they've just copied every other theme park MMO out there and done a worse job than what WoW used to offer back in 2004.

Yeah I agree, there totally should be a massive zone where you can Quest, Kill other people, siege Keeps and so on. Now that would really be awesome

You cannot level effectively in Cyrodiil. I enjoy the game story but hate the predictability of PVE. PVE is too easy and mindless. When you quest in PVP server you are always on guard for other players. I am an older player who do not get much excitement in my everyday life (good thing

We are not asking for PVE players to PVP. We just want a separate PVP server. A PVP server will not affect PVE players at all.

There are plenty of dungeons and quests in Cy. You can level from 10-49 there.

The xp in Cyrodiil dungeons is AWESOME for anyone that is not level 50 yet... go and try it!

If they can solve all the phasing issues, consensual world PvP could work. Flag yourself and be put in the same phase with like minded players of enemy faction. No need for a whole new server, really. If they can get it to work properly.

They're also impossible to solo for most builds below lvl 50.

I would love to see PvP servers. I completely understand what TS is saying. Cyrodiil just isn't the same as running into enemy players when you don't expect it.

One problem with PvP servers in this game is that there wouldn't really be a way to level in the veteran ranks since you only get access to other faction areas after lvl 50 and you are separated from everyone below 50. The game would have to be completely reworked for people to be able to go into the other faction's territory and interact with them. Also, Cyrodiil is the only "contested area." There really wouldn't be any way to randomly encounter enemies with the way the map is set up. You'd have to go out of your way to go gank them in their areas, and if that is your goal then you might as well be in Cyrodiil. This game really isn't built for a PvP server.

If you really want a badass pvp experience play darkfall. it's an awesome game, especially if you're in the 1% of people with a computer that can run it on high.
