addon settings broken

Logged into the game and all my many add-on settings are broken. Is there anyway to fix this rather than setting up each individual add-on again which will take ages

if you had a copy of your addonSettings.txt file and savedVariables folder (if you made a backup, or if you had a copy due to transferring the settings to multiple computers) then you could just delete and copy it back in

if you do not, then you would have to re-configure everything because something either got corrupted or didnt save correctly

when you mean addon settings are broken, do you mean like the addon is generating UI errors?

if that is the case the addon in question would be out of date and would have to be updated by the maintainer, or find a new addon to replace it

if you were outside of the game and replaced the addonSettings.txt and saved variables with copied ones and it didnt work, im assuming you are actually getting UI errors from an out of date addon probably

Remember to logout before backup and restore of the SavedVariables folder! Else the settings will be kept in internal tables and restored from them, and not from your SavedVariables files!
