Ok, i didn’t understand how the order worked at first. Now i do and damn it looks strong. Blue cards can send up to 4 cards in the cooldown pile. With the blue agents and some of these cards, it would be possible to make over 8 gold or power with one agent use. It looks more complicated than orgnum but also, probably, is even stronger.

I have a hard enough time keeping up buffs playing the rest of the game, now I have to maintain a passive in the card game too?

What I really dislike about it is how reliant the new "While In Play" mechanic is on the tooltips in its current iteration - icon itself only indicates the resource gained, but how it is gained needs to be looked up manually each time. From a table-top perspective, icon-heavy games are fine, since a lot of icons start becoming quite intuitive as you learn the game (see: Tiny Epic Dungeon or even Gloomhaven). But when an icon doesn't really tell you much about a mechanic and you need to look up the card on a separate reference sheet, the learning curve jumps up quite high suddenly.

Especially problematic if one were to try and transfer the deck into physical PnP format.

There's (currently) only a limited amount of "While In Play" interactions possible, so perhaps it would be possible to restructure the play effect icon to cover all possible bases.

Wait. Do contract cards ever hit your cooldown?

If not, Forest Wraith's description is messed up.

Not sure i'm reading/understanding it properly but is the Chimera only available when you reach a 4/5 druid combo in one turn?

I feel like by the time I'm able to get such a combo the game will be almost over and then you need to wait for it to get from the cooldown into your hand. Something like Hel Shira/Shehai or Pelin patron would help here of course. It looks powerful if you're able to get more than 1 in play but I just can't imagine a game where I would get to that stage.

Disclaimer - I only play against NPCs now that I've got the rubedite so maybe a match between skilled players would last long enough to make use of it. Don't know, just seems more effort than it's worth.

At first glance Rockseer/Envoy looked underwhelming as agents unless you're going for combos to produce Chimera cards. But then I looked at the 'while in play' bit and I assume you gain 1 gold for each agent you use, ie it not just 1 gold per turn?

It would be 1 gold per rockseer/envoy times the number of agent you use/activate.

So if you have both, it’s like every agents you have produce an extra 2 gold when you use them. With other agents generating power/prestige if you destroy them, it will also be very tricky to get rid of agents. Taunting agents will also force your opponent to hit themselves while protecting the other two types and contributing to gold generation. Stacking agents will be multiplicatively powerful.

Interesting point, hopefully they will read this and take it into consideration!

They do not, and a few of the cards have descriptions like that actually. Is PTS though so might just be an oversight, will try and make a post with all the tooltips that can be improved.

This is correct, it is 1 gold for every agent activated. However, its not just when you use your agents, one of the really cool parts is that even on the enemy's turn if they activate or play their agents it will trigger your effects!

    That seems wildly unfair

I mean, both players can still get them.

Typically in a match, one player will get it sooner (or be the only one to get it all). So it's important that getting a good card makes a difference, but also that NOT having that card is also balanced fairly. Because cards aren't available on demand, and it's generally unlikely both will players will get them at a similar time.
