PC/EU High latency today

Title says it all, i have just checked pings and such and no issues there, my latency jumps up to 999 randomly, anyone else having this issue or is it to be expected during events?

When I see that article linked in response to some lag issue i feel trolled by mods and also a little insulted.
We all knows that the game run on a 2012 Server that can't cope with it so please have some respect for us.
Sometime it's just better to stay silent.

I sympathise. It's similar to the "try restarting your router" response, which is really frustrating, like it's not the first thing I would do. Support, admins, and mods do not know what the poster has already tried (or not tried), and would exhaust known sources of troubleshooting before escalating an issue.

The issue might even be somewhere between client and server, not specifically on either end.
