Would you recommend it? How would you do it? What class, equipment, CP and skills?

Yes, crit builds are still good in PVE. You can do this on any class. Nightblade is the best suited to crit builds, but is in a poor place this patch, while Dragonknight has no crit bonus but is in great shape currently. My current pick would be Templar, with their 10% crit damage passive and recently buffed beam execute.

For weapons run dual daggers front bar. Back bar can be daggers, bow, greatsword or inferno staff. Avoid axes, they are weak. Front bar weapon precise (or nirn + precise for daggers), back bar infused with berserker enchant.

    For sets you run:
    - 1pc Slimecraw
    - 1pc Harpooners Kilt or Moras Whispers
    - 5pc Advancing Yokeda or Tzogvin
    - 5pc Minor Slayer set (Perf Relequen, Sul-Xan or Whorl of Depths)
    - 2pc Arena weapon (vMA bow is solid, vMA staff or BRP daggers also work)

The goal is to hit the hard cap of 125% crit damage through various sources (Fighting Finesse CP, Barbed Trap, Aggressive Warhorn, group EC and Brittle), and get crit chance as high as possible without sacrificing other stats. Thief mundus is mandatory with 7 divines.

Don't try to push 100% crit chance, you'll be giving up too much for that. 80-90% crit when fully buffed is a reasonable expectation that results in high damage.

A balanced approach will always yield higher results. The problem is you still need to get to 18200 pen and weapon damage below 5k isn't gonna shine very brightly.

But as far as as thematic builds go, the crit chance nightblade build is one of, if not the strongest for Solo PVE.

Thanks for the tips! I'm wearing this build right now: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=458518 but it feels like there's more to improve, even though I had no idea how to do it. This build hits hard on PvE, but for PvP it depends if the enemy has crit resistance, otherwise it hits hard as well.
