Lost Gold and Mats from Bug this Morning?

@ZOS_GinaBruno you guys said no rolls backs, but what about all of us who lost hundreds of thousands or more gold from the issue this morning? This is complete BS. I did about 20 surveys earlier with a large amount of them being Jewelry crafting. A stack of platinum dust sells for around 100K on PC-NA. Neither the items nor the surveys are back in my inventory so am I just SOL? I know I am far from the only one. This isn't right. The only reason you guys seemed to care at all was the infinite crown crate bug.

    I did. I am now waiting. Last time I had an item issue they made me provide both screenshots and video of said item. Hopefully I dont have to do that this time because I have no way of tracking what exactly I lost as I have no addons that keep track of that.

    XP earned during that time was definitely gone, as I reached new CP level, and rolled back to old one.

    Right. That is where I'm basically at. I have a rough idea of how many surveys I did, but not really all the exact amount of items I collected. I know I did at least 3 of each type though. And I had more jewelry than others. I also know I hit 5/6 double gather on one of my blacksmith surveys, but no clue to the exact amount. I also had collected 20 Columbine on two of my alchemy surveys, but no real clue on what else I got in them. I didn't even have any idea loot log kept track of materials gained before I seen it from the post above. Unfortunately, I set my loot log to only an hour a long time ago. I am hoping they have some sort of log for this. Otherwise I am feeling people like us get screwed over.

    I also lost High Isle daily coffers I got from quests, but did not open. Quests can not be repeated.


    What is even appropriate category to report all this? Nothing in support menu makes sense, I can't right click on items that I am missing and there is no text box to describe problem:

    It’s always amusing to me that the “missing item” help route requires you to select the missing item in your inventory. Been that way a long time now.

    @ZOS_Kevin Can we get ticket categories updated/QAed? There are no good categories for systems like Antiquities or Tales of Tribute, and some avenues are nonsensical and/or total dead-ends (like the one shown above).

    Please make sure you are replying to the existing ticket rather than creating new ones (just in case that's what's happening).

    Gold, Mats and dungeons completed also. No question about it, my associate and I each lost a dungeon completion for the weekly endeavors.

    But why bother trying to get it restored to us? Not worth the inevitable struggle with unresponsive cs. We can do another dungeon, or just forget about it like all the other things we have to just "adapt to".

    Can confirm trying to deal with lost items previoisly with a similar issue. ZOS wants to turn it into a mini court case put the burden of proof on the player. NO NORMAL person screenshots and video records their actions on a daily basis in case ZOS updates go wrong. I have lost millions of gold matts etc. this way but these days i dont bother complaining, just have a nice cup of shut up and move on. You will thank me for the mental well being later. Getting upset over lost stuff after ZOS does a rollback is just not worth it, especially with the aggravation of auto replies.

To which they ask "can you provide list of items that we lost, exact time and name of character you were on". After pointing out that information was included, they suggested I should remove addons, addon history and "fix" local copy of the game

    I really hope this is just standard procedure they absolutely have to follow before offering actual solution...

    If someone could please explain how addons could possibly result in this, that would be great. Until then, customer service is being insultingly unhelpful here, as usual.

    It all depends about the type of ticket you select. Some sorts go to humans, others are sent to the bot.
    I'm much more careful now, I had enough of my tickets being ignored (last one was related to missing a daily reward due to ZOS extended maintenance of over 16h).

    So, send all your tickets as "Issue/bug related to Crown Store" if you want your ticket read by a human.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno Hi, first of all thank you for keeping up with this. Yes, I am replying to the email they send, but it is like they're not even reading my ticket. First they're asking when I bought the items and the currency I used (surveys are received from daily writs as I'm sure you are aware since I know you play time to time) and then they are asking if I accidentally put them in a guild bank. I have told them both times about how it was due to the bug but each time it feels like they just skim the message loosely or are auto generating replies and it is all extremely frustrating.

    A weapon I reconstructed prior to the maintenance has gone missing (along with all mats used to make it). I used it on a target dummy in my house and even in a trial (which was logged) prior the the servers being taken down. I've submitted a ticket, hopefully I can get it back or the transmutes and gold mats used to reconstruct it.

    From what I've seen, I think they might have standard responses according to keywords in the ticket; just keep escalating it, and hopefully you'll get a representative to properly respond. I agree with the sentiment expressed in some comments in this thread that sometimes it's not worth the effort and stress trying to get your issue across, but I think the ticket system being what it is, and often going in circles, sort of encourages this defeatist attitude, and you just want to give up. I hope you'll get your items back, it's unreasonable to have to log every minute of our gameplay because sometimes patches can cause rollbacks.

They had said i received items from the surveys (which I had said THREE TIME HAD HAPPENED AND THEN THE ITEMS DISAPPEARED BETWEEM ZONES) It feels like they neither know what is going on in game nor do they actually read the emails. This is beyond frustrating. They also to have a list of all lost items in the future. HOW IN THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSE TO HAVE A LIST OF ITEMS THAT IS CAUSED BY YOUR GUYS GAMES ISSUES? Your guys CS is an embarrassment and you guys should be looking at ways to improve it. Just decision after decision seems like you guys are trying to drive people away from the game.

    Sorry to hear that, my ticket went better for me, and I've just been informed that they refunded rough estimate of items lost to my character in gold (I had to provide said estimate myself).

    Have you gotten a resolution to your issue? I've gotten the same thing after informing them of a missing item. Idk whether it's because an addon was used to show the evidence. I don't know how else a player could do that, people don't keep records of EVERYTHING they do in game by default. Surely it would show up in their logs though??

    Yes there was resolution, I was compensated gold equivalent of items lost.
