Crafted Gear Sets for a Levelling Magicka Templar

Hi

I have a friend levelling a Mag Templar, and I want to craft her some gear.

I'm going to make 5 items from the Julianos set. What other crafted sets would be good for the remaining 7 items, for a Magplar?

Thanks,
Sky

It gets pricy to make 2 crafted sets to wear together since you have to craft the jewelry too, which can be costly due to mats. Why not mix Julianos with an above-ground set that is easy to obtain like Mother's Sorrow? You could buy the weapons/jewelry for MS relatively cheaply (or farm easily) and combine with 5 piece body pieces for Julianos?

When you're leveling 1-50, it can be hard to find on level gear from overland sets for sale. Reconstruction is an option but could be expensive in crystals. I've usually used crafted jewelry while leveling, I just don't upgrade the quality past green and I use basic traits. That keeps it affordable for me.

Thanks for the suggestions. She's only level 20, so farming Mother's Sorrow isn't practical; and I don't have the time - especially when the farmed gear will have to be discarded in a few levels. I have tons of mats, so crafting new gear every 7 - 10 levels isn't a problem.

I use Julianos and Seducer with a 3rd crafted set that provides additional mag on head and shoulders. I have only 2 levels of the gear lv10 and lv25. Levels 1-10 go so fast you do t really need gear for it. I just keep the same lv25 gear all the way to 50 before switching out to my CP gear. If your friend doesn’t have the CP yet make some CP50 gear and maybe CP100 as well. That’s all you need, crafting sets for every 7-10 levels isn’t worth it.

Seducer and Willow's Path. Static number buffs which will take the friend all the way through to CP 160 and stay healed from spamming heal jabs and you won't have to craft new armor every 5 levels. Only the weapons and that could even be in question haha

For me works Julianos + Seducer + 2pcs Assasins guile for crit bonus (mostly weapon)…
Every 10 lvls craft new gear (blue is enough, jewelry only green)…
Weapons can be crafted more offen, that is why I use it a separate set (and I use purple weapons)…

Probably Twice Born Star + Magnus because their 5p doesn't lose on value while leveling up.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

Mother's sorrow jewellery she can trivially farm at the Deshaan dolmens and there's a lightning staff quest reward. Plus if you run in circles round the Deshaan dungeon you'll soon populate the entire set so it's cheap to reconstruct with crystals.

MS is just so much better than the crafted sets.
Too many toons not enough time

And you can only get that quest reward once, so keep it for CP 160! It would NOT be good for leveling, wasting the 1-time chance.

For levelling from 3 to cp160, it is the best choice to farm one overland set for the jewelry and two more body slots, whatever you get, and supplement it with a crafted set while doing it.

You take Mother's Sorrow for all Mag toons and Spriggan's Thorns for Stamina toons. Just keep doing the Dolmens and occasionally the dungeon or the delves.

Best choice for levelling is Heartland Conqueror. As long as you have crafted weapons with the training trait, you are better off than anything else. Just keep farming dolmens for jewelry and crafting your gear at levels
    16
    22
    30
    38
    44
    CP10/40
    CP90

    That is indescribably trivial.

I liked Seducer plus Innate Axiom on a Templar. Additionally, I was able to craft these early when I started on a new server, because they don't require many traits to research.

True, but on a public thread with this particular title, other people including new players are looking at this thread for tips about leveling a templar. :/

Every time i am just speed levelling a character (14 of them so far) , i always us the same setup of - Magnus head & shoulders, julianos 5 body pieces and shacklebreaker weapons and jewellery.. it seems to cover under 50 easily

Before there was such a thing as jewelry crafting, I'd just run some dolmens in a single zone until matching jewery dropped. I could only have one 5-piece bonus of course, but I did just fine even so.

Most people would use Alik'r Desert for that, or maybe Auridon. I actually used Bangorkai.

Crafted sets were Julianos and Seducer, flip-flopping on which one to take the 5-piece bonus for. For stamina characters, the 5-piece was Hundings.

Nobody seems to have said it so I will

Use heartland conqueror, as it will boost the training trait on weapons by a lot and boost xp gain

As for the other set i would recommend night mothers gaze, because major fracture will always be major fracture. So if you make jewelry of that set and two body pieces you will basically never need to replace it. Just the other 5 piece
