U35 Patch not applying

Help, seems U35 does not want to apply on my system.

It's been stuck at 54145.57 MB remaining for more than two hours now.
I also notice that he jumps back from 54057.something MB to the other value.

Can't be because of full HD nor because of full CPU usage. System is more than enough to handle it.

Restart launcher/laptop does not seem to make any difference.
And repair option is obviously not available in the launcher...

Any ideas? (Short of completely re-installing the game...)

You could also try closing and reopening the launcher.

And I can't repair, because it is not available at current.

I can't even pause the update

Have you tried rebooting your computer?

Sometimes this can happen (if you're on windows OS) because the download runs into Windows Defender, which can make that sort of back and forth with the download MB remaining.

Try disabling Windows Defender if you're running it. Also, my friend had a similar issue which turned out to be related to one of the anti-virus apps - I can't remember now whether it was McAfee or one of the others.

@TaSheen. No McAfee installed, sa that can't be the problem.
I wonder if the download is the problem, because it's saying "applying", not downloading

Same. Stuck at 21% so rebooted, stopped all unnecessary processes.
Set Launcher to High for processes.

Nope.

Still stuck.

No McAfee.
Drive not full.

Yup. Currently stuck at 23%.

Given my PC and fast broadband, this should not be happening.

I did a deep delve and killed all non-essential processes.

Gave Windows the ok to allow all ESO and ZeniMax Online Studios lalalal.

So...now at 24%.

Just not right.

If your launcher is stuck at updating, there are a few troubleshooting steps below that may help.

Create an Anti-virus or Firewall Exception for ESO

Each antivirus program is different and we recommend that you view the antivirus developer's website for full instructions on how to add exceptions.

The application files that may require exceptions are:

Bethesda.net_launcher: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\Launcher
ESO.exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso.exe
Steam.exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe

Some antivirus programs require entire folders to be selected instead of a single file.When this is the case, the file paths below are what you should use. If required by the anti-virus program, include all subfolders since every file is critical to run the game.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\

Repair the ESO Launcher

Open The Elder Scrolls Online Launcher by right-clicking on the icon on the desktop and selecting Run as Administrator.
Wait for the launcher to open completely.
If multiple ESO clients are installed and available through the launcher, make sure you have the correct version highlighted by clicking on it once.
Open the Game Options dropdown menu and click on the option for Repair.
Allow the launcher to examine all the files for the game. This may take some time.
If any files are found to have problems, the launcher will re-download those files.

Delete the Program Data

Close the ESO Launcher.
Navigate to the patch installation folder,
By default, this folder will be located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\Launcher\ProgramData.
Locate and delete the ProgramData folder.
Restart the ESO Launcher.
