Cloak should not hard counter Toxic Barrage

Toxic Barrage is a channel that is broken by cloak. That shouldn't happen. If a Nightblade is successfully targeted with the ultimate, it should stay on them until it's finished.

    Rarely does that happen for me. But it's consistently countered by a target that cloaks during the channel.

    Everything should have some counters, toxic barrage is an insane dmging skill and if one is so lucky to counter it with, why not.

    Does detection potions help? If they cast cloak mid-ulti and you had detection on does it still break it?

    Yes, it helps but the detect pots only last a short time so if it wears off before the channel finishes, they can cloak and my ultimate is wasted.

    An ultimate shouldn't be hard countered by a skill. It's not "lucky" if it consistently and reliably nullifies an ultimate. Because cloak is so broken, I have to be sure time my detect pots close to my ultimate because that's the only way I can come close to guaranteeing I don't waste it. Sometimes just can't pull it off in time.

    Either the ultimate should stay on the target as they are in cloak or it should prevent them from cloaking while being hit by it.

    How about any ultimate thats countered by movement speed, streak or block? If we start negating counters, lets do it properly?

    Toxic barrage is a DoT. As such, players should be able to mitigate and find ways to avoid it. Being able to mitigate and avoid ultimate damage is one of the changes Zenimax has made to the game. It makes sense because of how hard they hit.

    They took away reflect from DK skill and limited it to S/B, so precedence is there. Let's go!

    A skill should not counter an Ult? But I can counter some ults by simply moving out of of the way(aoe) or dodging :D How much more so should an actual skill be a counter.

    Why compare dodging a skill or an ultimate (which requires some skill and anticipation) to being hit by an ultimate and hitting a skill to completely cancel the ultimate out.

    The first involves skill. The second is a broken mechanic. If you don't dodge or block an ultimate in anticipation of it, you deserve to eat that ultimate. Because one person did what they needed to do to hit you with it, but you didn't do what you needed to do to avoid it. There shouldn't be a "get out of jail free" card for that.

    Keep Soul Assault on the other bar. If it is a nb use that instead.

    I only see people killed by it who are afk or targeted by others at the same time.

    Stealthing out of a channel does not seem right though, I sympathise with OP.

    Can you stealth away from jesus beam?

When I get a NB to low health (and my detect potion is on cool down), if I successfully hit them with my ultimate, I expect it to put my opponent away. Being able to escape all damage by hitting cloak in the middle of my channel is not a good mechanic, if it's intended.

    Just do like every other PvPer does and run a Sorc Negate with dark Convergence. I'm actually impressed to find one player who is something other than a Sorc or a Necro these days.

    Problem is it then make such channel ability hard counter cloak because the visual will show the NB location untils its finished

    They would have to change the tooltip to say "Players targeted by this ultimate cannot enter stealth for the duration"

    Then make the ultimate interruptable ;)

    And it's not hard countered, you just need to use a reveal before casting it. Seems like pressing 2 buttons in a combo to kill a player it's crazy talk nowadays, everything should be a 1 click-wonder
