What 1 button attack does nb have that is a one shot? Merciless resolve? You have to proc that with 5 light attacks first which is hard to land in pvp to begin with. Invisibility is 2 seconds, very expensive and you can't do damn near anything with it active that won't drop cloak, you basically have to stand in one spot. Templars and dks crush them every time. I've been playing NB for a while. They were once very op. Before elswyer. Now they are mid upper tier at best and only in pvp, magblade especially. They suffer heavily in pve with some niche use in things the vcr portals but only because of swollow soul. They get kills blade/impale which is a great execute. Twisting path was good but it's garbage next patch. They get summon shade which is only useful in pve. Ambush was good in pvp, again garbage next patch because of empower, being a gap closer it makes no sense to use in pvp or pve now.

I've never been able to one shot anyone with my nb in pvp. It's way more about the gear at this point. Ive been in battlegrounds a fair bit since the event started. I've been one shot by sorcs, templars (a thousand times), necros, and dks. Not once from a nb.

Every time I go to attack someone on NB I have to hit channeled acceleration, leeching strikes, momentum, grim focus and cloak. All that mag and stam just to prepare to attack.

Then I move in with a heavy attack, which I lead with even without Caluurions, then soul harvest. If they drop dead after that, they will often still call it a one shot. Most good players survive with a little health that gets cleaned up with a surprise attack or execute.

Point is, as you said, most NBs are not one shotting anyone. Have a killed people with just the heavy attack? Yes, because it's actually two heavy attacks plus glyphs plus other procs. I usually get 6 to 7 sources of damage of that heavy. But the number of people who drop to just that heavy attack is very low and they usually have around 20k health. So other nightblades or people who don't know better.
I drink and I stream things.

how can you defend a build that one shots with a heavy attack? good riddance imo.

One shot heavy builds were already killed; they gutted Molten Armaments already. Nerfing Empower wasn't needed to kill those builds. Empower is now worthless in PvP, and with it, many many many skills are now worthless in PvP. It was a baffling change that wasn't needed.

Got one-shot from 33k with a heavy attack on Monday. They were most certainly not killed.

This change helps so many players.
But i do think Empower should at least be decreased by battlespirit and not fully disabled in pvp.

Empower only currenty works on monsters. So no PVP.

Have you considered not crutching on cheese or exploiting busted mechanics?

Thews tank build good to experience PVP without non stop dying. Thats how my pve tank enjoyed pvp in the past :)

Empowered HA play style is pretty common , no meta, or you mean PVE HA build dps is meta in PVP too?

I know whats going on in PVP, min max HA build kill players instantly, 1 shot or quick combo.

But remove empower from HA good solution?

Whip is so OP in PVP, what DK feel if Zos remove the 2nd effect suddenly?
