High Isle WB quest: Wildhorn's Wrath bug

If a person is at the World boss before everyone else and loots one or two of the rings before anyone in group gets credit it bugs the quest for the rest of distant players and they cannot complete the WB quest. The corpses with rings are unlootable.

It is bugging even if all group members are presant. We can usually get 1 or 2 rings but never the 3rd in the same go. The icon will show up over a hunter with option to collect but ring never gets picked up and quest never progresses.

Same bug for myself and my play partner. We have the quest, killed the boss, but cannot loot the final Signet Ring from the Hunter Corpses.

What seems to have worked for me was getting the quest, leaving group and looting them solo, then rejoinging.

This is the same thing that happened with the Unmaker boss in Deadlands. My workaround for that was to get quest, drop group, interact with the items, and then rejoin (or not). Seems like that's working here too.

I have been unsuccessful getting all the rings, even if I leave group. Reloadui. And relog. Port out then back.
No luck, if I get this boss quest, it is virtually one myself and group cannot compete.
Please fix! The sooner, the better.

Well, literally, weeks later and its still bugged. Tried all the suggestions here and nothing worked.

It’s not just the world boss quest in high isle. It’s every world boss quest that requires items to be collected and you’re grouped. Unmakers hoard is the same. PTS server isn’t for actual testing… it’s for streamers to showcase nonsense… get some people to genuinely test stuff please…

Working ONLY solution. Loot rings WITHOUT group. Disband group BEFORE anyone loot rings. You can kill boss with group but then leave or disband and take the rings.

Take the daily in group, share.
Go to boss location:

if boss is here kill him in group, then DISBAND and take the rings.
if boss is not here, DISBAND take the rings, regroup and wait for boss spawn

Deliver daily a and continue.

Can't believe this daily is still broken two months since the chapter launch, but it is.

We can't loot the quest items while in a group, and leaving the group also doesn't fix it. We ended up abandoning the quest despite killing the world boss.

Pick up the rings solo, then group up to kill the Deerboi. Works everytime with my group.

It is still broken? Its bugged from start and still bugged? Really? I stopped do anything on Bug Isle because it is ridiculous.
I stopped play ToT dailies because they didnt fixed it too.

Yep, as of today, still seems bugged. I'd looted already and was invited to join a group, which I did without thinking. Can't loot the last one.
