Dps and parses

So if you currently pull 70k-80k dps and your trials guild requires you to pull 70k to join VTrials. I guess a lot of people are about to be locked out of Guild Vet trial runs without a new parse posted on their guild discord pages.
15%-20% dps loss is going really affect the middle tier players in an extremely negative way.

The number has always been arbitrary except for a couple of specific DPS checks. Guilds pull a suitable number out of the air depending upon how much they need people and how high they need to set it to get the best of the people available. When the DPS went up they requirements went up. When hybridization unbalanced the game and we got insane 140k parses the requirements simply went up to adapt.

A vet group wants to complete their trial so they want the best people. A progression group wants people who are willing to show they are prepared to work hard at it. Nothing short of a solo mode with 11 bastian cheesehaters and you is going to change the basic underlying human motivations.

So the numbers will go down, the requirements will go down and people will have to go adjust their builds and achieve the new lower target. The vet group will still try to get the best 12, the vet progression group will still be about finding the right 15-18 people willing to put time into it, practice together reliably and work at it for a long time. Nothing actually changes except maybe that the progression is going to take a lot longer now.
Too many toons not enough time

True about that guildavertisment will be adjusted with patch.
You are wrong about the number which they pull out fo the air; certain bosses are a DPS Check.
Oaxi HM (if you dont want to heave deaths to mechanic); Xalvaka Hardmode where you wipe around 9-10min, the boss has a number of health which needs to be done in 9-10min by 8 DD´s.
So basicly you have amount of health/dd = X amount of Dmg. To make sure you kill it you need atleast to add 10% on top of it since you get mechanics where the boss has a shild etc.
So in total its not pulled out of thin air, and with those incoming changes groups which were barely able to kill vRG HM will be now gatelocked and cant progress cause they lack the Dmg.
I dont know how they feel, but if i would be atm close to killing it and then get nerfed i wouldnt want to continue.

I'm afraid this is a huge misconception. Guilds expect that because the content is tuned for it. Watch the streams on pst where folks with godslayer and planesbreaker, content creators just wiping over and over. Here is something else people don't seem to understand: trial guilds, both training and mid level, take folks with 50k-70k dps so they can introduce them to vet content. Why? Because they had the extra DPS to make up the difference. Post 35 they just wont. Because content is tuned for high dps now an overall nerf will not bring expectations down. Before anyone says they will just "nerf the content" no they will not. They have said it multiple times in interviews. It's too difficult, expensive, and time intensive. And no, Nerfing a skill of a mob, or boss skill in one of two dungeons does not even begin to approach the scale of what they would have to do. They said flat out it's easier to just make new content the to accomplish a project like that.
