Rework point system for ranked matches against players?

It looks that points that you get for winning a ranked match vs a player and the points you lose upon losing a match vary considerably. It looks that the amount you can lose by one match that runs badly for you more than you can win by winning a match.

My current hypothesis is that this is probably linked to the relative rank of both players.

I am all in favor of some dynamics allowing players who missed out for a couple of days of play time during a season to be able to catch up. However, as of now if you aim for top position it would be a waste of time to play from the start. If you are good enough it is better to wait maybe for the last week in order to avoid losing against a lower ranked player on a bad luck card deck.

I don't suggest to entirely remove this dynamics but I think it needs some tweaking as I think it is not really nice to win 3 games in a row against random players that happen to be close to my rank and losing these points and more by one bad match. I tend to descent in rank quicker than being able to climb it up. This is highly frustrating and should be tweaked.

(for some wierd reason I cannot write an ordinary topic only a poll.)

I have just lost about 1000 points just by losing two matches. Falling from Rank 70 something to rank 700 something. This cannot be the intention of this rank system.
