Who here would like to see the bow skill line get some love for PvE? It’s easily the weakest weapon class (not counting resto and s&b for obvious reasons)

MudcrabAttack✭✭✭✭✭Bows have the jankiest light attack weaving. So now I hear they’re nerfing light attacks, maybe even making them optional for some builds, but not archers. They have to weave light attacks or their damage goes in the gutter. I strongly hope something gets fixed for the better this time0 -

✭Personally, I have always felt Snipe and Barrage should be reversed. Barrage should be the spammable, working like a ranged Rapid Strikes. ✭✭✭✭✭I love the playstyle of bow in PvP, but at the end of the day it's just pretty bad apart from hyper specific or gimmicky builds. The passives are certainly in need of a buff, and most (tho certainly not all) of the abilities are average at best.1 -

✭That will take some doing tbh as the maelstrom 2h is overloaded. But I think a lot of the passives could use a refresh. Things like Hawkeye have no place in the modern game because you'll never spend that long on your bar. Hasty retreat also serves dps no purpose. Attach the major expedition to an active skill or something.1 -

Hasty Retreat is incredibly useful in PvP.0 -
Foxtrot39✭✭✭✭For sure the problem is Hawkeye & longshot
Hawkeye uptime is too short to allow using anything but bow to not loose it and as a non negligible damage boost you either use bow/bow or a near single bar bow build or you're at a net loss in DPS
And long shot forcing you into a pure ranged DPS role to stay relevant, and knowing when you're at a distance to benefit from that bonus is also hard to track
Both together harm build diversity as you take a near 33% damage loss from getting close and doing rotation that last mroe than 5s
Bow suffer from a damage ramp up that is easely lost that no other weapon share
Then point blank bow is just counter intuitive asking you to loose on a major damage boost just for having snipe remain decent at melee rangeEdited by Foxtrot39 on 11 July 2022 16:211
