Returning Player....Hybrid Healer/DPS Templar?

hello All

I'm getting back in after about 7-8 months away and of course all my stats and point need to be reset...but before I do I wanted to see what is the latest on a possible Hybrid Healer & Damage Dealer Templar. Last I played I had a 5pc Mothers Sorrow and 5pc Trinimac's Valor Set which gave me a nice bit of damage and healing when casting a Damage Shield. I had a Destro Mother's Sorrow on front and a Restro Mother's Sorrow on back.

I can make cloth and Armor Sets if need to or simply buy or run...I have seen some new name (gear) I have not seen so I'm always open for suggestions. I'm not wanting to run a 100% damage or 100% healer if I can avoid it. I don't run in groups much but with a friend or two...no longer in guild since it folded. So rather have a character than can do a little of both ismpossible and even ifit means changing weapon styles and armor I'm fine. Thanks for any suggestions and tips...

With the armory system you could just do both. Save each build to it. With that said, you get a maximum of 2 free

What nobelcron said. I have my Templar set up for primary healing and for dps using the armory. different skills, CP points & armor sets.

Or just make a normal DD build (MS + Medusa or Tzvogins) and slot Breath of Life with Extended Ritual, Repentance, or Restoring focus on the back bar instead of Harness Magicka and Channeled Acceleration. You get Minor Force from Medusa or Tzvogins, replacing Channeled, and a massive heal instead of the damage shield, but one that helps the group. I've done this is vet dungeons, but would not recommend for trials

    This for maximum options.

Or what @El_Borracho describes - build a DD/dps with some healing capability, which is fine for anything up to vet dlc dungeons (you can always switch in more/less healing as needed).
