You know I never played that before. Holy Mara you're right! His lines are hotter than Darien's! I would have expected Darien to be the hip pulling making up for lost time kind of guy! O.O I think Fennorian wins this!

It was @Ilsabet who pointed out that what he said at the end of Markarth makes it sound like he's crushing on the Vestige, something along the lines of him getting sentimental and if he keeps talking he will embarrass himself. It's sweet and cute, but I never saw it as crushing until she framed it that way. I thought it was Fenn just being that sensitive nice guy he always is (the kind of nice guy you want to protect from flighty women like Melina who flitter from one guy to the next to the next because you wouldn't want someone like that to inevitably break his heart). The Smolder Scrolls stuff really does make it seem like he might have a crush on the Vestige.

I wouldn't treat Smolder Scrolls as canon, since those are explicitly written to have a romantic route for each character they include (and once again, the writers know how to work it for their audience), but it certainly is enjoyable to see a character like Fenn loosen up a bit, as indulgent as it is.

LOL, OMG you made my day! Honestly though, he calls Verandis his father, so I don't think the writers were going for that. Speaking of gay, one of my gay guild members also had a thing for Fenn. He seems to appeal to a wide range of people.

Loosen up is an understatement. His bit had the most implicit sex scene out of all of them. He trumped Darien for crying out loud. The sweet innocent nice boy has a secret naughty side once he has permission to loosen up.

We are all doing this stuff for free, and I've also not been able to do much. I've had a carpal tunnel flare so playing anything is hurting my hands. I kinda went HAM in another MMO I used to play over the weekend catching up and didn't pace myself so here I am. What you have done is awesome and I appreciate you! I'm not sure how much help I can be anyway since I've been testing on PTS until I decide how I want to handle my live account and whether I want to do a clean slate start over or not. You do realize that even if you wipe all of your current characters, your achievements will still be recorded on your account? They will all read "Earned by: [blank]". The only way you can start fresh is to play a brand new account.

Personally I'd treat it as canon for those who want to, like an extension, the same way you have multiple options in the game to deal with quests and stuff (when they don't get retconned). Since all the SC characters express interest or outright flirt with the characters, esp. Naryu and Darien (not sure if Eveli does though, as I haven't done all quests with her). And like you say, Fennorian's can be interpreted either way, and it's quite possible to be intentional, esp. since they did put him in the Smoulder Scrolls.

I didn't see his comment as romantic in game, I saw it as Fenn fumbling over his words in his sweet and self embarrassed way. Come to think of it now after having Ilsabet point it out, why would he feel embarrassed over being sentimental if not for having a crush on you.

She already kinda felt something for him after Tzingales tortured him because she's a warrior that had no interest in other burly nord warrior men that show each other up like peacocks and drank mead, but when Fenn was helpless and needing rescuing, she learned that she falls for cute scholarly guys in distress, LOL. Now she has to start keeping her eye on him and figure out what he meant by all that, LOL. I could see her and Melina having angry stares passing each other in Ravenwatch Castle. In my head canon Reynild does go with the Ravenwatch to work for them after the Count brought her into the family because she felt devoted to the Count and his cause, even though she's not a vampire. ✭✭Well I've scoured the thread looking for an actual report on Khunzar-ri, and the only thing I came up with was a post by Adventurer saying it looked like the Verandis and Khunzar-ri epilogues and Melina Cassel were once per account. Just in case I'm missing something, can anyone point me to a report post that I can link in my thread?
There's a post in your thread, page 1 from jle30303. It's phrased in a questioning way, but they do state that they completed both quest lines and couldn't get Khunzhar-ri to appear.1 -

Btw have you noticed any dialogue differences based on your gender in the game? Besides Darien. I know that Elam Drals has one line different in Blackwood (which meal he'd invite you for) if you're a DB member, and someone was saying that suposedly the EP storyline has some, so I was wondering if you've noticed any. Basically all characters like Fennorian, Verandis, the DB members have none listed on their UESP page (besides the one line by Elam and DB calling yKesstrylou Brother/Sister).

I can't say I've remembered any in detail like that. I'm sure it's there, but I'd have to play through quests again. Before AwA I never had to even think about these things because everything was tailored per character. ✭✭I'm not aware of anything besides whether or not Darien will flirt with you, but a) I only play female characters (for questing, at least) and b) I haven't really actively paid attention to that sort of thing and c) it's been a looong time since I've done most of the zones in the game. I know Naryu will mack on women along with men, and I can't immediately think of anyone else who shows overt interest in the Vestige. (Jakarn maybe? He's equal-opportunity too. ) Most of the game's dialogue leans heavily on the "they" pronoun so it can apply to anyone. The Dark Brother/Sister distinction is the only other thing I can think of that's overtly gender-based. Ah, pity! I was interested in any dialogue changes btw, not flirting explicitly, like Elam's is just friendly chatter - or at least I've always assumed so:
"Well met, brother! If I had realized you were in the area, I would have suggested we meet for a meal at the Egg and Hammer. The chef makes a superb fungus omelet."
"Well met, sister! If I had realized you were in the area, I would have suggested we meet for a meal at the Egg and Hammer. The chef makes a superb mud-hopper stew."
...and then he never does and you keep chasing him, so the storyline doesn't really makes sense as a DB member.

Yeah, that'd be nice! Right now I've logged in with another char with no achievemetns not to overwirite anythign yet but personally I just hate the female running animations and the personalities that use the male run make weird facial expressions or change things too much. So I was trying to decide if I should go with a female char after all, but I dislike the boobplates, so I'm probably jsut gonna make a male char or try to see if there is a way to make Breton females look very muscular.Edited by Adventurer on 8 April 2022 19:351 -

The races that you can get the most muscular are orcs, nords, redguards and imperials. The latter being quite odd because bretons and imperials uses almost the exact same body model, but imperials get a tiny bit more muscle definition at max.[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!0 -

I can't say I've remembered any in detail like that. I'm sure it's there, but I'd have to play through quests again. Before AwA I never had to even think about these things because everything was tailored per character. Now I'm just praying all the holes will get patched so I don't have to worry about them.
Yeah, that'd be nice! Right now I've logged in with another char with no achievemetns not to overwirite anythign yet but personally I just hate the female running animations and the personalities that use the male run make weird facial expressions or change things too much. So I was trying to decide if I should go with a female char after all, but I dislike the boobplates, so I'm probably jsut gonna make a male char or try to see if there is a way to make Breton females look very muscular.

My most muscular female is my nord tank Reynild. She still looks feminine though, and only bufffed to the point where she doesn't lose that. She's a strong woman with femininity until she goes into tank mode and insults her enemies to aggro them and unceremoniously kicks their assets all over Nirn. As for boob plates, my other female DK tank Alessea fights bosses and the armies of Coldharbor in a stylishly silky white dress and high heels. It took her a lot of training to pull that off, but she uses it as an advantage which distracts her enemies enough to give her the upper hand. The Trinimac heavy chest piece doesn't devolve to boobplate. You might try giving that a look. I used it on my Altmer Cleric Plate outfit, back before AwA put her in cold storage

From latest update/patch notes:
"Taking Up the Mantle: Count Verandis Ravenwatch will now properly show up and you can have the conversation with him after completing Markarth's capper quests if you've already completed the achievement on another character.
Note: This does mean you can have this conversation again on the character that initially completed the achievement."
I've yet to test this, but I have a character who couldn't do this after my main did - I'll check it when the servers are up.

✭✭✭Don’t think when ZOS started and implemented the idea of AWA they had any idea how much it would affect the game. Now they are lost because there is no easy fix for the mess it has created which is why they are not really saying anything about it. It will take them months and months of work to address everything that is affected by achievements and not story completed. Not to mention how it will affect how they program and change the game going forward.
Without realizing it they just created mountains of extra work for themselves. Which in turn will be a lost for us because there are only so many developer hours to work on the game. Considering Rich said it would take someone months to change Dragonstar arena and he thought that time would be better spent working on new stuff rather then going back and changing older content. Either ZOS will not fix the problems AWA created or will fix it but in turn be less new content we see because of the hours stolen of developer time to address the problems AWA created.
In short, we have lost either way by a broken game or less new content.

The thing about not fixing bugs (in this case, broken NPC interactions) is that it creates a legacy that will remain in place until the day they pull the plug on the game. Many people will notice the incongruencies.... not only the veteran players, but the new players who come in in the future. And the quality of the details, or lack thereof, reflects on the studio as a whole. Regarding them going back and fixing dialogues when they have time, well, there are still many broken texts still in place from previous modifications made to the game, as well as lore inconsistencies that have no explanation. So the track record doesn't favor the loose ends being tied up any time soon.... if at all. Besides, they haven't even commented on whether the affected dialogues are a problem or not... so we have to assume that they are working as intended, until notified otherwise.
I will NEVER accept that they are working as intended. They are clearly not, and originally were coded to work with alts individually. They simply didn't tie up all the loose ends from AwA and need to prioritize the quality and details of their game when making sweeping changes like this, and that includes post-release bug fixing.
