I had too much caffeine this morning. so I sat down and did a big Rework of Winter's Embrace. This time with visuals! I tried to maintain a lot of the Defensive Tools, Tanking Morphs, and the Ridiculous size of Expansive frost cloak. Like it or not, these were my ideas mostly, I'm gonna give props to @ESO_Nightingale for the Arctic Blast Idea.

Anywho Enjoy, Critique, and of course tell me how "Fine" Warden is.

    Written Version for you quoters out there:

    Frost Cloak - Base ability unchanged
    1st Morph - Expansive Frost Cloak
    -Expansive Frost Cloak now has Ice Fortresses Effect on Top of the 36m Range. You gain Minor Protection, reducing your damage taken by 5% for 25 seconds.
    2nd Morph - (New Skill) Aggressive Frost Cloak
    -Wrap a thick cloak of ice around you and your allies. The ice grants Major Resolve, increasing your Physical and Spell Resistance by 5948 for 25 seconds. Enemies within the Area of Effect suffer a Chilled Proc. Enemies Affected take an additional +10% Frost Damage from all sources for the Duration.

    Impaling Shards and Morphs are unchanged

    Polar Wind - Base skill has Duration Increased to 10 Seconds
    1st Morph - Polar Wind
    - To balance out the increased Duration, lowered the Heal over Time portion of this ability.
    2nd Morph - Arctic Blast
    - No Longer Heals. Projects Icy Winds forward, Stunning the first Enemy Hit in front of you. The winds continue to spin around you for the full duration.

    Crystalline Shield - Base Ability Unchanged
    1st morph - Shimmering Shield - Unchanged
    2nd Morph - (New Skill) - Crystalline Bulwark
    - Instead of 3 shields that dissipate when hit, returning Resources, summon one large Ice Wall that acts as a Damage Shield for 6 seconds, when damaged by Melee or Ranged Attacks, reflect 30% of Damage Done as Frost Damage

    Frozen Gate - Base Ability Unchanged
    1st Morph - Frozen Device
    - Portal Persists for 6 seconds after activating to allow for more enemies to be pulled to you. Allies can activate Synergy to teleport to you.
    2nd Morph - (New Skill) - Frozen Demise
    Ancient Portal no longer pulls enemies or Allies to you. Upon activating the Portal, the Portal summons a Massive Ice Pillar to drop on enemies. Enemies affected are stunned for 4 seconds

    Ultimate - Sleet Storm - Base Ability is unchanged
    1st Morph - Northern Storm
    - No Longer provide Major Protection. Now Inflicts Major Brittle for 12 Seconds to affected Enemies. Deals 50% Bonus Damage to Chilled Targets.
    2nd Morph - Permafrost
    -Permafrost Regains its Stun after 3 Ticks of Damage.

    for aggressive frost cloak, it might make sense to get minor berserk instead of affecting enemies, i think it would make more sense there than say a passive on birds of prey

    polar wind (first of all you have the same name for both the base skill and first morph lol), the arctic blast morph i would be unhappy if it lost the healing while still doing dmg, i would rather see it lose the now-even-more-useless stun, i would rather see the heal reduced and dmg increased instead of flat out removing the healing, i would drop the skill entirely if it was changed to what you were suggesting

    frozen gate 2nd morph sounds more useful against enemies that would be immune to the teleport/maim it has now, but im not sure if that would be too drastic change of skill functionality, but i could see it being changed to be an actual dmg trap like the mages guild rune as a full skill overhaul

    the ultimate i think losing the buff would be too much, you would either be losing the max mag (current version) or dmg bonus (PTS version)

    Northern Storm would not be losing that bonus Weapon/Spell Damage. But I did not make that clear enough.

    Arctic Blast is already a pretty Sub Par Heal and Ultimately I think it would be better if Warden had a Good Burst Heal in Green Balance, this would allow for some nice Green Balance Effects to benefit Warden a bit more. In the Frost Discord we are playing around with making Bursting Vines a strong Self Heal:

    For the Frozen Demise Morph, I liked the Idea of the "Ancient Portal" but wanted to Port something to the Rune over just being Scalding Rune but Cold.

    with the way i play mag warden, arctic blast is my only reliable burst heal, and the healing it provides is pretty significant when i am running around 35k hp (outside of vateshran) or closer to 45k hp inside of vateshran with the side bonus active

    i usually use lotus and leeching vines right now as "supplemental" healing for arctic blast, and while the dmg on arctic blast isnt high, with ice furnace it does become a lot higher (ice furnace basically adds around 1000 more dmg to each tick because it has a 1 second cooldown)

    the current setup i use on my warden skill wise:

    front bar (ice staff): fetcher infection (mag morph), unstable wall of frost, winters revenge, shulks (mag morph), and arctic blast

    back bar (buff bar with resto staff): lotus (mag morph), netch (mag morph), crystal slabs, leeching vines (sometimes swap this out for the aoe heal), and frost cloak (morph with minor protection)

    with the gear setup he has this has been my primary go-to toon to use for solo arenas (maelstrom/vateshran) due to the decent dmg output along with survivability (even got flawless conqueror with this setup)

    i even was able to tank a vet dungeon boss when the rest of the group wiped long enough to get rezzes in lol, my only real change for my current setup would be to change icy conjurer set to that new set from the new trial in high isle

    (this is mostly the context that i use the warden, very unlikely to be meta but it works for me lol)

    That's fair, the thing is you can still use Polar Wind for that same effect. I think Having both a Defensive and an Offensive Morph would be beneficial

    i would be more inclined to use the 5th heal tree skill if i could use it to pull myself to the bear to make it actually useable in a solo situation, if i could get a decent heal over time like that then i would be more inclined to say arctic blast could lose the heal entirely

    i would be more inclined to use the 5th heal tree skill if i could use it to pull myself to the bear to make it actually useable in a solo situation, if i could get a decent heal over time like that then i would be more inclined to say arctic blast could lose the heal entirely

    You can pull yourself to the Bear. But that's why if Zos went this direction with AB, they would need to add a good Self-Heal somewhere. I've opted for Bursting Vines for that option.

    Yeah it's definitely a bit wonky, and only the Nature's Embrace skill will heal you and the bear. from my experience the Bursting Vines isn't really used as it is even weaker than AoE Burst Heals and it only heals one target. If they reworked it to just a self heal, comparable to BoL or Render Flesh it would probably be really good. (Also if they allowed Nature's Gift to work when you heal yourself)
