Ever wondered what happens if you try to hide in occupied mini-keep and capture it?

It won't allow you to capture it until you damage the door to the point when it becomes flagged. You can then capture it without the need to break the door.

Anyone tried to do that in normal keep, where you have outer walls and inner walls?

Yes happens all the time. Just shoot some wall or door to under 66% or something like that.

Have to get the wall or door down to 50% I think, then can take flags. The keep has to be flagged, then you can kill the guards and flip the flags and take the keep.

This is how it's always been as far as I know.

I'm not sure how I feel about this but It has been doable forever.. Partially I feel as though an unflagged keep should eject all enemy characters and partially I feel like this is a niche sneaky thing todo and you should check your keeps more carefully before leaving.

Last time I tried it this only worked on the maingate (atleast inner one). The sides/posterns still need to be 49% to be able to flip it. But yes :<

I have never seen a keep flag at 66%. That is just the point at which the wall or door shows visual damage. To take the flags the keep has to be flagged. That is at 50% or more damage to some portion of the structure.

it works the same way in an outpost and a keep, i think for a keep you only have to hit one of the doors to flag the entire keep

A keep doesn't need to be flagged. Once a door reached 66%, you can turn the flags. Once a flag reached 50%, the keep will be flagged.

The most fun part of doing this is that, between lighting the keep, and solo-flipping the flags, there's usually time for some of your allies to see the flash on the map, turn up, and begin sieging the outer. They usually manage to blow open the doors just in time to see your smug face turning the final flag by yourself. :D

I'm a serial inner flipper, this is correct. You only need to get a door to the mid 60s before the flags will start turning.

This is correct. When you get a door or wall to the mid 60's it will do the first "damaged" animation. It's not yet enough to flag the keep but once you've got it to that point if you're inside standing on the flags it will allow you to start flipping the keep.
