Enervating set

Anybody try this set out at all or is it too hard to hit a group with the 5 meter proc/1 sec delay?

Delay is really short. In my experience nobody dodged that on purpose.

Biggest issue is that chance to trigger it is fairly small. I apply it from DW flurries on my 50k warden, takes approx 2 GCDs, but can take more.
It does have bigger chance to trigger from AoEs if you hit multiple targets. Probably can try to do range AoEs to proc it.

Second issue is that it doesn't kill outright. Doesn't buff any stats helping you to do the kill either. You are playing the support role with this set.

Third issue - you have no way to know if it did hit many targets, or just a few. So you don't know the power of debuff. Neither do allies. Would be nice to have some clear visuals on this set.

i would agree with this assessment

the size and delay of the effect is about the same as sellistrix, and i can sometimes still fairly regularly hit people with that, but it is a small area so i dont think you will likely be hitting 10+ people with a 5 meter aoe still, especially if you cant choose exactly where the proc goes off

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

This is kinda why it's better on tank with single target skill to proc it - you can try to hit middle character in the group.

I was thinking tanky support stam sorc and proc with streak, stun to keep them in the proc for a second. Then maybe Master 2H for brawliness

@Neoauspex add Rush of Agony if you wanna go full support route. Stampede in, streak out, turn 180 and bombard.

Need to test that they all proc the set tho, just in case.

I've been testing this when it came out, along with IC sets:
Nunatak, Enervating with ice staff, Dark Convergence

Ice ring procs Nunatak and has very good chance of procing Enervating on a bunch of people stacked by DC.

I could only measure effects of these sets by observing target debuffs on each individual. Hits hard sometimes.

@EF321 but procs don't proc other procs? Also isn't it DoT damage in the first place?

DC and Enervating sounds nonbo too - what if evervating procs instantly? DC will only pull after 1s, enervating already wasted.

Yes, procs don't proc procs, "has very good chance" was referring to same ice(frost?) ring, it is used to proc both enervating and nunatak. Nunatak isn't really needed here, but a nice addition - immobilization if someone was too slow to get out, and when you are not procing DC for stack it still slows people down making them more likely to get hit by enervating.

I drop DC from backbar where enervating is not active, switch to front and spam frost ring. If enough people are pulled, enervating procs within 1-2 cast before non-sorcs can get out.

Set is busted, certain attacks that should proc it, don’t. Bombard being one of them

@Breakwell I have a feeling that it is bombard issue. Plaguebreak wasn't proccing from it too.
