IMO, what makes DPS/healer hybrids work is being able to DPS with as few skills as possible and heal with as few skills as possible. I'm still workshopping the build, so feedback/theorycrafting would be great.
Due to lack of effort, I'm using Mother's Sorrow, False God's, and Earthgore (which was nerfed again 🙄, so I need to replace it with Magma Incarnate). Ice staff/resto.
Healing skills: Radiant Regeneration, Funnel Health, Mystic Orb. If the group needs it, I swap in Refreshing Path or a burst heal
DPS skills: Crushing Shock, Dark Shade, Grim Focus, Degeneration, Wall of Elements
I usually start with as many DPS skills as possible, and switch in heals as needed. Definitely need to workshop the build for vet DLC dungeons—but a lot of those depend on DPS avoiding one-shots.
Typically been reaching 20-25% of group DPS.
While I think any class can heal sufficiently, I think a dual role might be more possible for some classes than others. Next thing to try for me is Warden.

We are not dissimilar. My pushback.
Unless you need the interrupt, play to a NBs strengths. Funnel health is great here, and two spam skills are redundant. This alone can heal a lot of 4 man content, allowing you to perhaps keeps some of your other skills as the damage morph. Seems wasted on your resto bar. This skill is meant to be a spammable as is CS. Would give you room for combat prayer (or unstable wall if you go double fire).
Degen, guessing you are slotting for the major sorcery as much as anything, sap is better here for so many fights and also gives you major sorcery. If pure single target, then yes, Degen is prob a better option, but sap is really nice for most boss encounters and all trash pulls.
I have actually found springs to be better than radiating regen here. You do enough passive hots, and I think springs is a better option if you need to heal through a mechanic. I pretty much only cast springs if it is really needed. I dont typically just put it in my rotation, but again, I play double destro staff in this role more often than I run a resto.
Just my 2 cents.
