U33 and 64 health

Hello,

Apparently, Player abilities that scale with your offensive stats, such as Weapon Damage and Max Stamina, will now dynamically scale with the highest of your offensive stats.
If I put 64 attribute points into health - does that mean is scales of my weapon damage and max health? Or does that only apply to magicka and stamina?

Tanks,

    Cool tanks!

Guess I have to dump it all into Stam or Magicka....

Which means if you have 64 attributes in health, you would basically do no damage, and have no resources....basically a punching bag.

It depends on skills as some are based on health only.

Those tend to underperform compared to offensive stat scaling one by a factor of x2

It'll still scale off your highest resource pool, and health isn't classified as a resource pool. Some things do scale off it, but if you have no health scaling things pouring into super high health is kinda silly.

Tanks are ESO punching bags in more than one way. Armory is probably only one thing, they did for tanks nicely.

    PvP - Recruit.
    PvE - Dragon food
RPG - A guy who thought, that he can defeat daedric prince, yet guards still chase him off when he accidentally touches some object during daily writs.

Got it. I thought health was a resource pool. Some things scale off it....

no, if you put 64 points into health you'll die fast because you don't have stamina for block or magicka for heals.
Health tanks no longer works well in this game, a 35k hp tank with 25k stamina is a real punching bag

I have to disagree. There are skills that make it so I never run out of resources. I may not kill things as quickly but other things will NEVER kill me and I can outlast them if they try and beat me down long enough. Self heals in this game make it so I do not even have to rely on a healer to get back to max health I can pretty much insta heal myself.

Maybe, but the general consensus is that if you build 100% pure into health in PvP you'll not last long without a really solid game plan to go with it. People that don't have a plan end up neglecting resistances, sustain, block cost reduction, etc. Without those things all that health is just delaying your inevitable demise.

And this is what I am interested in...outlasting....drawing opponents away...healing others ...
but after this patch...it does not help

Maybe we are talking about different contents, in end-game contents your reasoning doesn't work. You can't self-heal things like gryphons bleeding or zmaja's heavy debuffs in vcr, machine gun from rakkhat in vmol, etc... and you can't block longer with 15k stamina

...which just means that once again tanks get shafted. DPS gets to play nice in every single way, even healers get to partake of the funzies, but no tanks allowed. :/

There's actually some tank sets that scale via health. It was in some previous patch. Some of these sets do damage too.

    Hmm like storm knight

There was a list somewhere here I recall reading.

I can't remember which patch but really wasn't long ago. It's when everyone was complaining about monster sets scaling to damage.

Sets that scale off max health, I make no representation as to their quality.

Dungeon: Leeching Plate, Frozen Watcher, Crimson Twilight, Silver Rose Vigil
Craftable: Song of Lamae, Noble's Conquest, Pelinal's Aptitude
Overland: Hatchling's Shell, Bahraha's Curse, Grace of Gloom
PVP: Crest of Cyrodiil, The Juggernaut, Battalion Defender, Thews of the Harbinger
    Trials: Eternal Warrior, Defending Warrior

Monster sets: Lady Thorn, Scourge Harvester, Shadowrend, Thurvokun

UESP is pretty good for finding this kind of thing in a relatively compact way: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Sets
