“Not only do you meet Za’ji and Caska here, but Shipwright’s Regret also introduces you to the Dreadsail pirates and gives hints as to what they are after. Some of it won’t make sense until you play through High Isle, but having threads like these continue from the dungeon and through the Chapter is fun and helps bring it all together.”

Storytelling stuff like this is a strong reason why ZOS should consider adding a story-mode to Dungeons. If the writers really want to bring it all together, it only makes sense to make all of the story accessible to players without having to rely on a cooperative and capable group to experience the dungeon stories.

Can you guys make one of the four annual DLC dungeons be an "easy" (aka soloable) dungeon, much like the base game dungeons?

Agree 1000%, they should also do it for trials as well. Let people experience the story and scenery at their own individual pace. Just get rid of all drops and exp. and make everything super easy. Not everyone can solo the new dungeons.

When new dungeons drop you can generally get a group one the first day in the first hour of two to do the dungeon a little slower but after that it usually balls to wall speed run. Never for a trial have I ever been able to experience any story. Done them all numerous times but really have no idea what the story behind them are or the lore.

Stay safe and Happy Hunting :)

This doesn’t solve the problem completely but:
    1. Enter the dungeon and pick up the quest before you try to queue or put together a group. This lets you at least get the background of who the questgiver is, what they’re doing and lets you talk to the initial support NPCs if any.
    2. Turn on the NPC chat option in the chat box. This lets you go through at least some of the story after the fact.

Story mode would be nicer though. :(
