Two weapons, with the same lvl and rarity, does different dmg.
As the title says, I recently came across two swords, one was loot, the other was a quest rewards, who had the same lvl, rarity and trait, yet somehow one had a trait stronger than the other, and did more dmg and I can't figure out why. One is a dwarven sword of flame and the other is a quest reward worm Drain. Hope someone knows why there is this difference. Thank you in advance
@Amottica seems the best answer - the sharp trait is offering more penetration in the higher damage weapon. But weapons of equal level with the same trait (sharp) should have same values - so the cp explanation suggested by @Jim_Pipp looks valid, too.
A test would provide confirmation, assuming cp is allocated to the 38th lvl character for whom the items dropped.

Just tried it out, it did not change for the dwarven weapon when i equipped it, but i just got a dagger from a different quest with the same dmg stat as the wormdrain so it could be quest rewards are stronger than random loot you get from mobs in out in the world? anyone else that have noticed if this is the case?
It's also strange the pen from the sharpened trait is different
