[Suggestion] Balancing Vampires without hurting them

Hey all,

I have a simple suggestion, very simple one actually, to balance Vampires while not hurting them much.

What about SWITCHING Mist Form and Bats Swarm ?
Mist as the ultimate ability.
Bats as a regular PBAoE.

Mist-spam is a problem.
Bats Swarm is a problem IF the cost is that low/the ability is so powerful (but it MUST be powerful as an Ultimate).

Switching those two will :
1) Avoid perma Mist Form, and allow players to rely on skill to cast it. "When", "Why" should become the primary focus. Allow players to understand the fight, and to cast that skill at the right moment. And not perma-casting it, which decreases the player's skill.
2) While decreasing an ultimate-ability to a regular but powerful-ability, you'll have to rely on either Mana, either Stamina. Vampires are, lore speaking, both strong in both, this is too Zenimax to decide. Mana should be more interesting, to allow some skilled move such as a roll-in Swarm to dodge+regen, while able to roll-out (and then being Out Of Stamina). Balancing the bat swarm to become another Pulsar, BUT with regen and based on 3 seconds for example, would be very interesting.

The only obvious adjustment to do would be a diminishing of radius, however, since it would be a regular ability, based on a short-uptime.

    There is a 10x easier fix

    Remove Ultimate reduction gear from the game.

    Remove the ability to generate Ultimate while an ultimate is active.

    If you were to do these two things you would solve 90% of the problems happening in PvP. Especially Bat Swarm spammers.

    The Ultimate is good and so is Mist Form. The ability to spam Bat Swarm however is the problem and it has an easy fix. What I said above.

    They could also change Silver Bolts, to debuff Mist Form and Bat Swarm from players.

    Then problem solved.

    The Ulti reduction stuff is stupid, i watched a DK and Sorc just run through a pub dungeon and batswarm the entire thing.. so dumb.

    My suggestion is that they fix everything first to see how it's actually supposed to be working before changing stuff around.

    Mist Form spam is negligible if you do not have Bat Swarm to instantly heal yourself.

    Tab Target the person before they go Mist and you can still hit them.

    Already tried, with Fighter Guild buff.
    Well, the runner is still alive.
    Couldn't do anything, perma-invincible, until he was too far away (really too far).

    Honestly, the stage based cost reduction is 100% of the issue here. Mist would still be good if it cost 400, bat would probably need to be reduced to 150~ base though, if the stage bonus was changed.

    if the ulti cost reduction from armor sets and the sorc passive were removed i think the stage reduction can stay. it will still cost 80 ultimate which isnt much but its enough to not be able to have it up permanently so the issue with a single guy running into 100 ppl and not dying would be solved. and lets be fair the ultimate should be slightly better than other ultimates since having it that cheap comes with a few disadvantages aswell.

    So basically you nerf classes (sorc/temp or dk I don't remember) in order to nerf a sub-race.
    I wouldn't choose you as a balance dev. That's for sure.

    "So what about sorcerers non-vampire ? Oh yeah, they are fine.
    But let's delete their passive so vampires one aren't a pain in the ass !"

    Seems legit.
