[Feedback] Daily Cyrodiil kill quest needs to be set at 100.

Now that the kill 20 player quest has been made a daily, the number of players you need to kill is simply too low.

It would be better to raise the number to 100 and then scale the reward as well.

You can kill 20 people with an oil pot if you're lucky, which makes the quest little rewarding emotionally, and having the number as low as 20 also promotes players to do a quick stop in Cyrodiil, complete their daily quests and then be on their way again.

I'd much rather that the number was set to 100 and that the reward was five-doubled as well - and then muliplied by two.

    Yes.
I'd been thinking exactly the same thing. It would go a long way to balancing the XP reward from PvP.
As it is now you can spend several hours fighting in Cyrodiil and come out with virtually no XP gain. It's actually better to avoid fighting and do the PvE quests instead.

While I agree that there should be more veteran experience available in Cyrodiil, I think this is a horrible way of doing it.

What most people don't consider is not everyone likes to play the game the way you like to play the game. Imagine for a second not everyone enjoys zerging, the more kills required for the bonus means they would be forced into a zerg type situation more often than not just to cover the kills necessary to finish the daily.

Things like this promote a zerg centric play style, and while I have nothing against that kind of play style, I do not enjoy it, and would take offense in being forced to partake in it.

I STILL don't think that it SHOULD be a daily. It should be reverted back to being a repeated quest, with a slight tweak. And here it is:

The current kill 20 quest, for me at VR4, gives 4.3k xp, 1000 AP and like 302 gold, change it to a quest that continues up to 100 kills, but is repeatable.

    Kill 20 Players: 4.3k Xp, 1000 AP, 302 gold
    Kill 40 Players: 6.3k XP, 1500 AP, 402 gold
    Kill 60 Players: 8.3k XP, 2000 AP, 502 gold
    Kill 80 Players: 10.3k XP, 2500 AP, 602 gold
    Kill 100 Players: 12.3k XP, 3000 AP, 702 gold

Each time you complete a tier of the quest, you get either a notification or mail, where you would receive your tier reward. And, you wouldn't have to accept the current tiers reward in order to continue progression towards the next tiers reward. Then, once you've completed all 5 tiers, simply get the quest again at ANY allied controlled keeps Quarter Master. No need to travel all the way back to the South High Rock Gate in order to get it.

I believe having SOMETHING like that, perhaps not exactly like I've drawn out, would encourage more players to come to the pvp zone. Not to mention offering rewards similar to that of PvE, as well as offering an alternative for leveling your character(s). I think that this is something they need to put in, as a repeatable quest, in order to give balance between rewards in PvP and PvE.

I kind of agree with this. I am usually away from the zergs doing my own solo crap but I wouldn't mind if it was 40 or 60 kills with better rewards. I like the count since it makes it look like killing those guys actually gives a reward. If there is no count I tend to avoid more fights.

I like to spend my time in Cyrodiil in solo or duo-party mode.
What I miss most about this quest being repeatable is the kill messages.

PvP is suposed to be fun and people are suposed to doit becouse they enjoy it not becouse there is some daily they need to "grind" day by day....there are alot of MMO examples that apply a daily quest sistem that preaty much ruins the game and turns it into a "do this do that and that for the next X hours..day by day...else you will fall behind" kind of game. This repetitive chores are one of the main reasons people stop having fun in mmos.

There should be no quest whatsoever, the PvP reward should come from actually doing the killing (IE, instead of giving 1000 AP and 2k vet xp for killing 20 players, on submit, why not simply divide this to 20 and give it as a gain on kill?). Same goes for scouting and capturing quests that atm are nothing more then a "get some free AP's from time to time mechanism".

They did announce some time back that they were going to revamp the kill quest, but I don't know if just turning it into a daily was the end result.

Hopefully they'll scrap the daily and implement some sort of system which just flat out rewards you with XP and AP for enemy kills. Lots of beta testers were advocating this during the PTS.

However, if they keep it a daily the kill count should go up along with the rewards so that PvP'ing, not repeditive questing, becomes a viable way of leveling up your character.

People act like they get nothing for killing an enemy player unless it is part of the kill quest...... You actually get a lot of AP if you kill an enemy solo or in a group. The rewards are based off of damage done. SO when you hit an enemy once in a zerg you get next to nothing. This is how their system works and is ment to promote and reward tactical fighting over zerging. Now the problem with the kill quest is that you get credit for tagging once in a zerg and it rewards you for the opposite. The way it is now is okay and draws people to PVP to get the quest. But any increase to it in any way will just lead to the zerg all gameplay we saw in GW2.

In short you don't need a quest to get your reward, you make good rewards killing enemy players if your not zerg tagging them.

what about soloers that dont enjoy running in a zerg attacking/defending keeps?

how about changing the quest to 20 SOLO kills instead?

    would u like that?

srsly ppl need to think before creating threads..

If they did increase the kill quest number then they'd need to add repair doors/wall quests for those of us who prefer to play a more support role. Maybe a heal quest as well?
