How large was the patch?

Hi team,

Was there an update recently? I've just opened the launcher and it was applying a patch, took ages to get through, then it did a series of small downloads, applied more patches, now I'm downloading 5gb again and then it will have to apply that. I'm at 18% overall - what on earth?

Was the patch that big? Also where can I find notes on the patch? This is getting a bit tiresome, everytime I load that launcher I'm nervous I'll be sat around for hours.

Edit: I was playing last night, loaded the game today and ... patch.

Sounds more like your PC forgot where ESO was installed and redownloaded the whole thing

! I had that before when I had a faulty M.2 slot fail to recognize on boot, restarting the PC fixes it until I swapped for a new one.

Its such a pain. There was no issues with the place ESO is stored, it picked up the drive fine. I like this game but it is truly the worst when it comes to downloading and patching. How it always just forgets the files are there is beyond me. Other games on the drive don't have this issue.

Nor do other players, so I don't think you can blame the game. Are you playing direct or through Steam?

There has not been an update recently. You may be getting asked to update due to something affecting your game files such as some of them getting corrupted.
